Happy Wednesday all! Today is community service day at my firm, so I'm leaving in a few minutes to volunteer somewhere that I've forgotten. I got up early this morning and went running, so I'm hoping for an energy burst that will take me through the day.

Today is also Tamer and my 8 month anniversary :luv: It's so nice to have a man that remembers dates like this, and he hasn't forgotten one yet. Happy anniversary sweetie! We're going out to a nice restaurant tonight to celebrate. I got stuck in an elevator at work a few months back for an hour and a half and got a gift certificate to Firelake, and they were giving more gift certificates away on their anniversary to people in our firm, so it will be a free dinner, hooray!

Hope everyone has an extra special day. I'm still on pins and needles waiting for a phone call regarding the job. I hope they don't take all day. It would be really wonderful to be able to relax and know things will be okay.

Yesterday I took a walk around the lake with my camera. It was a lovely walk. A heron was nice enough to let me stand close by him and watch him catch a fish. I shared with the pictures with Mohammed last night.

Well lovely Wednesday here in WI/MN area. Youssef and I are going to my favorite cafe this morning to have breakfast and then maybe for a little walk. He has been working the afternoons/evenings at his friends restaurant so we haven't had a lot of time together. Luckily I have had 2 days off of teaching and have been able to be home a bit more. I picked up a bunch of my work to do at home too so that's nice. This afternoon I am going to finish lesson plans for this week and next week so that I can relax this weekend. Friday afternoon we have a doctor's appt. to check out the baby and then we are going to visit my dad for father's day. My grandparents are going to take my son for the following week! YAY!!! I want to plan a few nice things - we might head over to Minneapolis one afternoon for a change of scenes (minus the little one), or who knows. I would love to take a trip down to Chicago but it might be a little too short notice....maybe another week. Ok so there we go. We're' waiting for our NOA1 from AOS and i'm still waiting to get a call about any of the 35 jobs I applied for.......waiting waiting...

Shaunaspears has posted that her petition has been sent back to Homeland Security from Casa after their interview yesterday. If anyone can give her advice which I don't really know what she should do that would be great before it is actually returned!!! Thanks have a great day.

Ugh, I'm having a crappy day since it turned out that I forgot to switch over a few of my recurring bills from my old bank account (which only had like $100 in it) to my new bank account. My bank is kind enough to pay the charges anyway, but charges me a whopping $19 each time. So there goes something like $80 :crying: because I'm an idiot

Plus I called USCIS to try to get them to put in an inquiry on our AP application. Their projected timeline is 30-60 days, and they say you can call if another 30 days have passed and you haven't heard anything. Well, we're well beyond that, but now the stupid misinformation line is telling me they can't put in an inquiry unless you're 30 days beyond the date listed on their website for processing times. So since they are now processing APs with NOAs of March 31st, and our NOA1 is March 6th, I have to wait until they get to April 6th before they'll even put in an inquiry. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! I wasted 45 of my precious cell phone minutes for that, because my stupid vonage home phone wasn't working right when I tried to input our case number.

Anyways. We're just fortunate we've got the interim EAD I guess. But we're moving in 2 weeks, so if we don't get our AP before that I have a feeling we won't see it for a long time, and Majid is getting really depressed about the idea that he won't be able to go home in August to see all his buddies that are coming home from Europe. I guess there's always next year :(

I hear ya on the AP.....We just got our NOA back for it and it said 60-90 days. Youssef was slightly hoping he would get back in late August, but now it looks like it will be October or so.... he's pretty sad he's really missing home...oh well not like USCIS cares..
