Hello, So I have absolutely everything ready to file my AoS, except for the checks. I want to be positive before sending everything so please bear with me!

This is what i have understood...

1. with a check for 1010.00 I´m entitled to file the adjustment of status plus the advanced parole.

2. with another check for 340.00 I am entitled to file my petition for EAD.

3. I can put everything inside the same envelope plus the two separate checks, also inside and send the envelope out to Illinois.

4. The checks should be directed to USCIS

Also, can anyone tell me what the biometrics thingy is? and the fingertip fee? What is that and how much is it?

thank you.

1) 1010 is for AOS, EAD and AP

2) NO fee when based on pending I-485 (C )(9 )

3) Yes, and only one check $1010 for everything.

4) PER the directions with form I-485.

Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485instr.pdf

Special Instructions :

Please note that, if you file Form I-485 to adjust your status as a permanent resident on or after July 30, 2007, no additional fee is required to also file an application for employment authorization on Form I-765 and/or advance parole on Form I-131. You may file these forms concurrently. If you choose to file the I-765 and/or I-131 separately after July 30, 2007, you must also submit a copy of your I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of an I-485.

Fee for biometrics is part of the $1010 too. Biometrics is fingerprints, picture and signature.
