is it ok to tie your hair back for the visa photos or do you have to wear it down? and is it ok if the background is slightly grey?

Either way its ok as long as it shows ur ears.

when u go take ur passport photo, cameraman knows.

so dont need to worry abt it.

I had my hair tied back, it was no problem.

Slightly grey should be fine, just not dark. The one in my photos was off-white/ cream.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

ears?? I have never heard of that requirement, nor have I ever been required to do so, and I just renewed my passport last week, with my hair covering my ears.

Ears visible this is one of the requirements for visa and passport photos.
