you certainly would not call the NVC if you submitted the AOS application to the USCIS

BTW, did you submit the I-485 for the K-3/4's?

YMMV

You can also go to www.uscis.gov. You just type in your case number and it will tell you the case status. Or, you can set up an account with them, and the CRIS computer will email you when something happens.

However.....doing this will probably not make you feel any better, because it will probably just say that the case is still pending. I have heard of some cases where the computer says the case is still pending even after the people received the approval notice in the U.S. Mail.

It's really unclear how long you've been waiting. :time:

We filed in August, and I think we just got touched today. She's already received her EAD card months ago. No Green Card yet.

If you must simply waste your time, you can call the local USCIS office that will handle your case. The answer will be "About 6 months" Doesn't really matter what the question is, the answer will be "about 6 months" My wife just got her green card last week. 2 months from when we sent the AOS.

If you have an NOA1 and they have cashed your check, they have it. Expect to get your biometrics appointment about 1 month from when you sent it in and your interview in 2-3 months. If you are approved at the interview, you will get the card in about two weeks (they will tell you three weeks)
