Hey guys.

its Olga.i just have a couple questions for you.

-how long does it take for the embassy to schedule an interview?our case left NVC on the 20th.when can we expect them to contact us?

-can i take a medical in advance?can i just go to Moscow for a day and then come back and then go back there for my interview?

-What does the medical include?

-I have multiple sclerosis.can it be a reason fo denial?do i need to tell the doctors about it?

Thank you for all your help.good luck in your journey.

MS is not a reason for visa ineligibility... they will ask you to fill out a medical history questionnaire

Usually the NVC assigned case number is required for the medical... this is different than the USCIS one

Yes you can schedule the exam at your convenience

YMMV

I am not sure how they do things in the Ukraine, but in Moscow, if you try to call in months before your scheduled interview date, they will tell you to schedule when the date is much closer, say a couple of weeks away.

Understood, but my reply assumed that the NVC has assigned a case number and that the interview is but a few to several weeks away...

YMMV

Hi Olga!

-how long does it take for the embassy to schedule an interview?our case left NVC on the 20th.when can we expect them to contact us?

From the time NVC sends your case out, it can take 2-4 weeks for your interview to be scheduled. The website that shows appointments is supposed to be updated weekly, but sometimes they forget or something.

-can i take a medical in advance?can i just go to Moscow for a day and then come back and then go back there for my interview?

I think the medical is good for 6 months? Somebody check me on that. But as Satellite says, many times they won't let you schedule an appointment until a couple weeks before your interview. Call them, see if they will do it.

-What does the medical include?

Blood tests and a thorough physical. Basically they're looking to make sure you have no communicable diseases, and that you are really a woman.

-I have multiple sclerosis.can it be a reason fo denial?do i need to tell the doctors about it?

Multiple sclerosis is not a reason for denial, but yes you should tell the doctor about it. Don't leave anything out.

Thank you for all your help.good luck in your journey.

Best of luck to you!!!
