Hello everyone,

I'm having my employer create my letter of employment and they asked me if I have an address for the USCIS. Did anyone use an address and if so, which one?

If it's for the I-134, it should be addressed to the embassy, if it's for an I-864 for AOS, it should be addressed to your district office. The addresses are on the state Dept site and the USCIS site.

If it's for the I-134, it should be addressed to the embassy, if it's for an I-864 for AOS, it should be addressed to your district office. The addresses are on the state Dept site and the USCIS site.

When I did a visa for my Mom I put " To whom it may concern" and they did not say anything and she got her visa OK.

If it is for Immigrant Visa or K-1/K-3 visa Interview at the US Embassy/Consulate, then you can write down ES Embassy address. If it is for Adjustment of Status in USA, write down the appropriate USCIS address. Also, if you address the letter as "To Whom It May Concern," then it will be okay too.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Ditto ditto. Mine started with "Dear Sir or Madam". (Actually, I think I forgot to tell my employer what the letters were even concerning... I think I just said "government paperwork" out of habit. :P ).

I also was trying to be a little clever about it. Since the K3 (I-134) and the IR1/CR1 (I-864) letters are very similar, I combined the requirements for the two and asked for enough copies for both the forms and an extra original for myself. That saves them duplicative work and gets me plenty of letters for both in one shot. It's pretty easy for the employer to just print out 3 or so extra copies of the letter and sign them all in one shot than it is to go back and write the letter multiple times. ttyl,

We stopped pursuit of CR-1 to pursue K3/AOS. For us, both required the same document, we could only have one valid copy, and the K3 was moving faster.
