Hi! It will soon come.. In the meantime, prepare all the original docs they might need: birth cert, marriage cert, if divorced the decrees etc.. as well as supporting docs for in case: photos, letters, cards, passport stamps when u enter the country for a visit etc, whatever u have that can show that you have bonafide rship.

For CR1/IR1 visa, NVC will set the interview date and not your local embassy.. :) You can definitely call NVC to find out when is the interview date, and when u get the letter (my hubby and also our lawyer get the letter, but i didnt), scan and email to your hubby, so that he can set up medical check up appointment. U might need input from those who gone thru CR1 in PI as to how to do this. :)

Soon! :)

The NVC will send u the Interview letter to u when the Interview Date is scheduled at the Embassy.

When Called NVC, they could tell u if ur interview date has been scheduled or not.

If not schedlued 2nd week of this month, they will ask u to call 2nd week of next month.

You do not have to wait for the letter to arrive to call to find out when is the interview. Just make sure that you have your NVC case number when u call. However, u will have to wait for the letter of interview to arrive to set up appointment for medical and to enter the embassy for your interview. Hence, once u receive, and hubby not yet receive his, you scan your copy and email it to him. So that he can have the copy for his reference and to use for the interview/medical checkup. In the letter says whats your case number, when is the interview, checklist of the docs needed/already sent and accepted and such, notices and info on vaccines. At least, these are what I had on mine. Altho, we did not file DCF way. Is there a difference?

I don't think this is a DCF question because DCF doesn't go through NVC

So, you said that you can call them next week to see whether the case will be up for the March interview? My case has been completed at NVC for over five weeks now.

One thing that I do not quite understand is -> when they said on the phone for eight weeks before there are any instructions, does it mean from the time that the case completed to the time that we should expect to have the interview conducted, or from the time that the case completed to the time that the NVC starts mailing the interview schedule? If it is turning out to be the later one, I do not think, we can get any interview until April.

Please elaborate. Thanks. (How is your case coming up?)

I think it depends on the embassy consulate..they said they know if you will be scheduled every 2nd week of the month so we should go ahead and call next week..they told me call on feb16 for sure to know if you are scheduled for the interview..The lady told me it depends on the volume of the interview of the embassy consulate.. I am sorry you have been waiting that long... I hope and I pray that my husband will get the interview by march,.I have been having such a hard time that I need my husband by my side now, I have been having family trouble here..that is why I always pray that in a hurry he will be here so we can move out right away,.I am still living with my parents,.brothers n sister,.grandma,..sister in law,. aunt and uncle,..and instead of helping me through this hard times,.they even make it difficult for me.. That is why I always believe in the saying,.no one really understands you and no one will be compassionate with you but your better half..

Good luck to all of us..god will make a way to reunite with our loved ones.. we all deserve that..
