we mailed our AOS on Dec 20 ,2008 and we still have no NOA.

We wrote just a check with the total amount:$1010.we didn't write 2 checks:80 and 930,like I've seen other did.And I am worried because I've seen some people were rejected for this reason.

What do you say?Anybody mailed in the same time with me?

Or the NOA is actually the appoinment for Biometrics?

Thanks

Sending one check is not an issue- I sent one check for the total amount. You receive NOAs for all the forms you submitted - I-765, 485, I-131. These are different from the biometrics appointment which will come later. Just be patient, you'll get your receipts soon.

Not to worry - the instructions clearly state you can submit one (single) check for the total amount.

It's not a problem - see the payment instructions section of the I-485 to see for yourself.

K..it's oke.I've got the NOA.But it didn't help me..at DMV because the people from there are so stubborn that they don't read they own legislation. In my state LA is says the nOA is enough to apply for DL...I don't need to wait for green card...or smth else...well they don't know ###### about that..I printed out their web-site page to show them I was right and there's no way to make them understand...

Anyway..I have my NOA.

Thanks guys!
