LostinNJ, why they will take it? They can take only EAD and AP cards.

My attorney has all my papers so I didn't know if I need to get it from him to take it to the interview or not.

I will take it to intervie, better be safe. Is there a reason why you can't take it from your attorney?

I can, I just need to find the time to go see him... Maybe I will call tomorrow and ask them to mail it

Yes I took my approval notice, anyway take ALL your papers (you never know what they can ask) but the officer didn't ask for it...what she needed from me were my birth certificate and my divorce...

BTW guys with your approval letter did you receive also INITIAL GRANT OF DEFERRED ACTION????what does it mean???i've got this one and it says

"The service has decided to place this case under deferred action, which is administrative choice to give some cases lower priority for removal. Therefore, the Service does not anticipate instituting action for removal at this time.

Deferred action will remain in effect for a period of 15 months from the date of this notice, unless terminated earlier by the Service for reasonable cause und upon appropriate notice."

Guys do you know what is it?? :help:

Deferred Action means they will place you in temporary legal status and will not initiate any removal proceeding until your I-485 has been adjudicated. When you're in Deferred Action status you can work legally and obtain a driver's license, you can't however leave the country. That's pretty much what it mean, it can be renewed increments of I believe 15 months, so every 15 months you can renew it if you don't have your green card. And it's pretty much good for applicants who are the spouse of a Lawful permanent resident, because they will be in legal status until a visa number is available to them.

I've just cheked my status online and here what i found

Decision

On December 15, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Guys who got a green card -did you also received the same??

I didn't get anything like this but don't worry, you will get your green card in 2 weeks or sooner. :) If they stamp your passport you don't need to worry.

I never received an approval notice, it got lost in the mail. So I didn't take it with me. Even when applying for adjustment, I explained on a separate sheet of paper that I never received my approval notice, all I included was a printout from the case status website showing my I360 was approved. It didn't matter though, my interviewer didnt ask me for it, he had my whole file in front of him. He did make copies of my EAD and AP then handed them back to me.

Congrats to all that have been through successful interviews!!

I received my welcome notice on Saturday. Waiting on my green card...Congratulations KoshkaMoshka, I don't know what is up with the case status website..I get updates almost every day and they are always contradictory. This week alone I have received 4. One telling me that my application was approved, another telling me that card production has been ordered, yet another saying application has been approved again and just yesterday one saying that card production has been ordered. I wouldn't worry about it, you'll receive your green card in a few days.

I360

June 18 2008 - I360 filed

June 27 2008 - Prima facie determination sent

July 8 2009 - Documents received and case work resumed

July 13, 16 & 17 2009 - touched

AOS

Sept 3 2009 - Filed I485, I765, I131 by USPS express

Sept 4 2009 - Application delivered

Sept 21 2009 - NOA for all applications received

Sept 25 2009 - Biometrics notice received; Appointment date (Oct 20 2009)

Oct 8 2009 - I 131 application approved

Oct 20 2009- Biometrics Completed

Oct 20 2009 - (I765) Card Production Ordered
