Hello my Dear!

Thanks for remembering me........ There are no news from my end: No touches, no answers, nothing on my mail in the last 3 months....

Several requests have been sent to Vermont office from my Lawyer and myself asking for adjudication on my case and NONE OF THEM were answered. I flunk to my master hearing last week and I about to leave. In few weeks would be 2 years since I filed my case. Unbelievable!!!! My case hits the records in processing times for vawa cases without decision taken.

I wish you ALL a Merry Christmas, big hugs and hope this nightmare ends for all of you waiting for decision on your cases.

I'm really sorry to hear that,WHY does it take sooo long?my lawyer was saying usually this case takes not more than a year,I hope everything will be fine and soon you'll get an approval letter Please contact USCIS directly and ask them about your case status...

Hi to everyone, welcome back EWTN, I surely missed you. My interview is on 01/12/2010. I guess, my journey is almost over. I went through a lot, but meeting all of you guys, even though, just online, was truly a blessing.

LostinNJ, thanks for the advice and the information. Actually, I'm already thinking of going by myself, I need to be confident with my new found indepependence. My lawyer said, he can prepare me for a lesser charge instead of going with me.

I checked my status online and it said-"request for evidence"-"on october 26 we received your evidence.".i don't know what does it mean...i had my fingerprints done in october 17-can it be a notice about my fingerprints and why they don't say that my case status is "interview"...,maybe they just updating slowly

I didn't go with a lawyer for my interview, I didn't use him while filing the I485, he was too expensive. The interview was pretty straightforward, I'm happy I didn't shell out another $2000 for something I did so easily by myself.

KoshkaMoshka (that handle makes me smile, how did you come up with it) don't fret. They hadn't updated my online status since they received my petition, until they sent me an email saying that my card had been ordered. So no worries, nothing sinister there. Good luck to you in your interview!

Hi there Koshka, I've decided to go to the interview next month by myself as well. They've approved my self-petition, I sent them eveything that I've got. There is nothing that they can ask me that I can't answer.

Dear ashleyblack,

Did you got your receipt for VAWA yet? Its almost two weeks for me as well and still waiting for the receipt so that I can send my AOS and EAD.

As you have asked you can definitely apply for AOS and EAD if you were married to a US Citizen while waiting your VAWA to get approved. But as you have already send your VAWA petition therefore, it is advisable to include your VAWA receipt along with your AOS ans EAD petitions. I am also in the same situation and just waiting to get the VAWA receipt and then will send the AOS and EAD applications.

I am also considering for fee waiver if possible. Are you also applying fee waiver?
