Congratulations and Good Luck, Konjo. Now, you can truly have a Merry Chiristmas, a Prosperous New Year and a Happy New Life.

For lostinnj and yahya, I had my biometrics done on nov 18th, so it took less than 3 weeks for USCIS to schedule my appointment, interview is on 01/12/2010.

I think, you will get your appointment before Christmas, lostinnj.

Yahya, just hang in there, all the best to you.

I miss EWTN2009, where are you, girl?

So I had my interview yesterday and it was over pretty fast. All he asked me were the questions on my I485, name, date of birth, parents name, entry date etc. Then the no questions. He then took copies of my travel documents, employment authorization card and my drivers license. He was really nice and friendly, he even made a few jokes. The interview lasted all of 10 mins. But he wouldn't tell me if he was going to approve it or not, he said everything seemed OK and that I should receive a decision in the mail soon.

On the USCIS case status page, my application is still on 'acceptance' and the last time it was touched was Nov 11. I don't think they are updating it. Anyone else with this problem?

Gabriela, thank you so much for all your help. You have been so helpful. I guess I still have some more waiting to do because i dont know for sure that it has been approved.

Congratulations Konjo!!! How did your interview go? Did you have to wait for a decision too?

I have heard that before and all is fine, I think you don't have anything to worry about, keep checking your status online, remember that if your VAWA is approved already, there is not reason to not get through the end, don't stress out please, in about a week or two you will receive your green card.

Always your friend :)

Thanks guys. This is the best Christmas gift ever.

Mine was very quick ... they were behind schedule that day. She just asked for the travel docs, marriage status, if I had kids and what I did for work. Then she asked the yes/no questions. After that she said I was approved. I doubt it lasted 10 minutes.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of you.

Hi konjo, did your lawyer go with you?

My lawyer is not available on my interview, but someone else from their group can represent me or they can prepare me. I'm thinking of just going by myself because if a laywer accompanies me it's about $1500. Guys help! What do you think?

Anyway, congratulations again!

Bubbles I'm going to the interview alone, if they ask you anything out of the ordinary or about your marriage you can request to speak with a supervisor because they are not suppose to ask you anything in regards to your marriage or the abuse or what happened.

Hello my Dear!

Thanks for remembering me........ There are no news from my end: No touches, no answers, nothing on my mail in the last 3 months....

Several requests have been sent to Vermont office from my Lawyer and myself asking for adjudication on my case and NONE OF THEM were answered. I flunk to my master hearing last week and I about to leave. In few weeks would be 2 years since I filed my case. Unbelievable!!!! My case hits the records in processing times for vawa cases without decision taken.

I wish you ALL a Merry Christmas, big hugs and hope this nightmare ends for all of you waiting for decision on your cases.

Sincerely,

EWTN2009

How lovely to hear from you! Sorry that you haven't received any news yet. Did you follow the advice you were given a while ago about handling your removal case first?
