Yahya54- this is my second RFE. I got the first RFE sometime in feb and sent it back in two weeks.My first prima facie expired in september 2008. How about you ? whats the situation?

I dont file AOS along with VAWA coz I cant afford for filing fee for now so Im gonna wait for while until I can pay for it ...I dont know but im thinking to request a fee waiver . Im just wondering what other requirements do i need to request a fee waiver...

Does anyone know what is the exact filing amount required for filing AOS?

$80 for biometric fee and $ 930 for filing fee for I-485 and the I-131 (Travel Document) will be free if you file along with I-485. so total $1010

as you see my time line i got my firest RFE back in november 08 (good moreal ) and i got my firest prima facie jun 09 wich expier in july 09 and i just got my secound prima facie in the 10 of this month i never got a 2nd RFE

i send a tons of evidence about abues and good faith marige so im just wiat for ther decision BUT MY ATTOURNEY TOLD ME THAT NO SUCH perfect PITITION SO YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU EXCPECT

everything that happening at this moment is a RESULT of the CHOICE you ve made in the past...

My VAWA was approved in July, and I have received an appointment for initial interview. I am so happy but nervous at the same time. my question is do I need a lawyer or can I go by myself? and If you know what kind of questions do they ask? Pleeeeeeeeeeease help

Please send a message to Ghandmade88 and Gabriela.

No need to worry about anything. USCIS officer are not suppose to ask anything about ur VAWA and they ask about you, that's what I heared from Gaberila and my counselor too.

Check with Cathaloic charities in your state. they might give you some tips.

Hello! I got approve of that I-360 on jun,2/ 09. I got my permit to work last month, i asked a lawyer says i am no elegible now for an adjustmen of status because my ex- husband was a resident alien, so he says i can apply for a visa, he says it is a very very complicate work a head and that i will have to wait for another 4 years, i am not sure if believe what he says, because he gave this aswer after 2 weeks, he says never have a VAWA case before. Please somebody can tell me more! I have 11 years with out see my family!

congrat at your approvel ...when you go to the interview the immigration officer will NOT ask you any thing regard vawa

all the qustion it will be i 485 so its up to you YOU DONT HAVE TO but most poeple do it shoudnt be aproblem if you go BACK IN THIS FORUM you will see couple of poeple want to the interview and the have explian the interview

by the way how lomg your vawa take to approve

Thank you for your response.for me the approval took 1 year. I applied in june and in July i've got approval letter!

please make it clear that whether we have to pay fees for filing VAWA (I 360) or it is free? I am very confused. Please help.

There is no fee when filing for VAWA... All the instructions are on the filing form.

Dear lostinNJ,

Thanks for the answer. I have another thing in my mind that VAWA is free just like or we have to apply waiver to make it free. Is there any section which we have to mention or any column where we have to tick to making it free?

Sorry for asking too many questions, but I want to make it perfectly clear. As in AOS we have to apply waiver, that's why I am getting confused.
