Hello VJ-friends!

Well, at least I feel like y'all my friends ;) since I've been reading your posts anonymously for over a year. I want to thank you all for sharing your stories and experiences, they gave me hope and strength to take charge of my life again.

I feel I owe it to those of you that are still in a genuinely horrible position to share my experiences and time-line as well. Stay focused and don't give up hope!

And to the people simply searching to find a way to fraudulently obtain a VAWA approval: Be careful what you ask for...even if you get away with your despicable lies now, the Universe doesn't sleep. Karma WILL catch up to you.

That being said, here it goes:

I filed the I-360, I-765 and I-485 with Fee-Waivers and WITHOUT a lawyer.

Evidence submitted with the I-360:

"Evidence of Battery and Extreme Mental Cruelty"

A DETAILED, 15-page declaration including meeting USC, our relationship before we got married, wedding, our relationship after we got married and every major incident of physical, emotional and economical abuse, ending with me fleeing the situation and the effect of the events on my life afterward. All in chronological order.

Medical records

Police- and Court-records

Restraining Order

Criminal Background check for USC

Given the situation, I didn't have a lot of evidence to prove "Good Faith Marriage" and "Evidence That Petitioner Resided With Spouse", so besides asking USCIS to also refer to evidence submitted with my first, unfinished I-485 application filed with USC, I searched for and pointed out parts of the court-, criminal- and medical-records supporting the facts.

Pictures of USC, me and family

Marriage Certificate

"Evidence of Good Moral Character"

State and County Background-Checks

Time-line:

May 18th 2010: Mailed I-360, I-485, I-765

May 20th 2010: Application package signed for by USCIS

June 3rd 2010: Official USCIS receipt date of entire package

June 21st 2010: Biometrics appointment arrives in mail

June 24th 2010: Prima Facie arrives in mail

July 1st 2010: Biometrics appointment

July 16th 2010: I-765 Card production ordered

July 24th 2010: I-765 Approval notice arrives in mail

July 29th 2010: Employment Authorization arrives in mail

December 21st 2010: I-360 approved

December 31st 2010: "I-485 transferred to NBC" arrives in mail

January 27th 2011: I-360 Approval notice arrives in mail

March 11th 2011: I-485 Interview notice arrives in mail

April 13th 2011: I-485 Interview...Approved

April 18th 2011: I-485 Card production ordered

Regarding the "Touches", don't let that drive you crazy. I for one did not get another one after October 3rd 2010.
