HI INPEACE,

MY CASE TOOK 11 MONTHS FOR APPROVAL, I SENT MY I360 IN JUNE 2009 AND IT WAS APPROVED IN MAY 2010, ALSO THEY SENT ME 2 RFE'S DURING THIS TIME.

I FILED MY I485 IN OCTOBER 2010 TO CHICAGO LOCK-BOX AND THEY TRANSFERRED IT TO NATIONAL BENEFIT CENTER.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY TRANSFERRED IT TO NATIONAL BENEFIT CENTER. :(

If you applied for i-485 and the EAD together it is perfectly normal. From there you receive your biometrics appointment, file is being reviewed, and then it is being send out to another benefit center or send to the local office of your state if an interview is needed. No need to panic.

I-360 VAWA:

August 3 2009 filed.

August 10 2009 NOA1

August 11 2009 NOA2, Prima Facie Case established

January 7 2010 Initial Grant of deferred Action

February 4 2010, APPROVED.

February 21 2010 AOS filed

March 1 2010 Noa for AOS and EAD

April 24 2010 EAD Card production ordered

May 3 2010 EAD card in mail

May 13 2010 Interview notice for JUNE 16 2010

March 5, 2011 Received Welcome to America letter

March 7,2011 GREEN CARD IN MAIL

Hi everyone, I had my interview today. I arrived at 8.00am, my interview was scheduled for 9.00am. There was a long line to get into the building, I stood in the line for about 20 mins. Once I got to the 13th Floor, I handed in my interview notice, the lady was very nice and told me to have a seat and they would call my name. I sat for about 20 mins before I got called, I was the 3rd person to be called for my interview. The officer walked me to her cubical and swore me in. She then asked me for my passport, she asked me to verify my full name and date of birth. Then she asked for my I-94 card, I told her my attorney lost it but I had a copy and handed it to her. She asked what was my mother and father's first name. Then she asked me the no questions. She asked when was the last time I spoke to my spouse, and asked if we were divorced, I told her no, she said why is there a divorce decree in the file, so I told her its from my spouse's prior marriage, then she apologized. She gave me back my passport and said I should receive the green card in 2 to 3 weeks. Overall the interview lasted about 10 mins or less. I'm so happy this journey is over. Thank you everyone on this forum for your support, EWTN, Bubbles, yayah, ghanamade, honest, ghanaba,Niagara, gabriela, NAROCKS, Koshkamoshka, Jasmine and everyone else. Thanks a million...

That's the normal tactic for abusers...to lure you back in so that they can do more damage. I have no clue if immigration investigated my ex. He sent them a thick package trying to get them to deport me. He took the guilty plea in criminal court to avoid a trial and more jail time.

Lucy: I don't know your story. Do you have an attorney to advise you? I do recall that I received an extension for my prima facie determination but I don't remember if my attorney filed for it or if it was sent automatically. My attorney also filed a waiver for my VAWA application which was approved. My I-485 was already pending at that point. Look up the information for VAWA on the USCIS site, it will guide you.

Good luck to everyone. I filed last Nov and am waiting. After separating from spouse I have focused on taking care of myself and have not started the divorce process. My questions is: can I still be married to abusive spouse after 360 is approved? Will this affect adjustment of status? Will the officer ask to see the divorce proceeding during the interview? Thank you.

hi schatzi3277,

Thank you for replying, yes I filed my i485 and i765 together in October 2010, I did receive my biometrics appointment in November 2010, and got the EAD in December, but from the filing my i 485 it's passed more the 4 month is that normal? beacuse on uscis page when I was looking at timetable it says 4 month for adjustment of status, that's why I'm little worried.

Tuck: I don't think still being married will affect you. If asked in the interview, you can say that it is not completed yet. My divorce was actually finalized a couple days after my I-360 was approved.

Natashka: My interview took place 7 months after my I-360 approval. My priority date was from 2006 and they were just slow in my case. I wouldn't worry about it yet.

What you can do is put in a service request by calling USCIS. They will check if you are out of the timeline and check on your case. Or so they say you never know. If it gives you peace of mind call, nothing wrong with it. Try to take it easy and get back to your life.
