Any news on your case??? Why are they taking so long????

nov 04 Went to interview by myself, told officer will aplly for vawa

11/04 I485 touched (still on initial review)

11/21 officer called lawyer about the I485 (btw: really nice IO)

12/10 apply for VAWA, without background check

12/11 lawyer drop off a copy of I360 for the IO

12/15 Prima faice received

12/18 sent background check, also sent a letter to IO asking to expedite the I485 to vermont to be linked with I360

12/31 I360 touched

08/04 Apply for EAD renew

08/18 receive NOA

08/26 new card ordered

08/31 new card ordered (again??)

09/01 notice of approval of I765... (where is my VAWA approval??? God help me...)

09/03 EAD arrived in the mail!! ufa!

10/03 Sent letter to renew prima facie and inquire about vawa status.

10/05 I360 touched- changed to "Request for evidence review" (WTH????)

11/27 Recieved prima facie extension

11/30 VAWA APPROVED!!!! yupiiiiiiiiiiiiii12/04 I360 Touched

12/22 Interview noticed for 01/23/12

12/26 Interview canceled by USCIS

12/31 New interview notice for 01/30/12

Thanks for replying, my lawyer's office called me today and they told me that called to USCIS and the uscis rep made the note on my case file and I'll be receiving something in mail(i hope it's interview notice) if we wouldn't hear from them in 60 days we have to call again. I'm very nervous why it's taking so long???

03/2007- Marriage to USC

5/2007- Package mailed with 1st I-485, I-765, I130, I131

6/2007- RFE mailed & case resumed

8/2007- Initial interview with spouse and USCIS

1/2008- I131 and I765 approved after extensive background check

12/2008- 2nd I-765 approved

4/2009- Separated from spouse..

9/2009- 3rd I-765 Approved

2/2010- 2nd interview with USCIS- interrogated

2/2010- All initial applications touched

4/08/2010- Package mailed with I-360, 2nd I-485, I-765, I-131

4/17/2010- Receipt issued for each form

4/27/2010- 1st Prima Facie issued, I-360 touched

5/08/2010- Biometrics for I-485 done

5/10/2010- I-485 and I-765 touched

6/18/2010- I-131 Approved

6/26/2010- I-485 and I-765 touched

9/16/2010- Called USCIS and put in service request that I-360 is outside processing times

9/20/2010- Lawyer submitted request to renew Prima Facie

9/23/2010- Called VAWA hotline and left a message for them about my case

3/04/2011- Reciept for I-765

3/29/2011- 3rd Prima Facie Extension for 60 days/Divorce is Final

4/04/2011- Lawyer submitted I-131 Application

4/20/2011- I-131 approved

5/09/2011- I-360 touched (RFE)

wow i thought i was the only one who's case took longer than the usual 5 months, mine took 12 months in total to complete...i will be putting my timeline soon, after i figure out how to do it :)

Nov 10th 2009 Prima Facie Established for 180 days
Feb 19th 2010 RFE notice received. Response due by may 17th 2010
May 1st 2010 ALL required evidence sent
Dec 09th 2010 I360 APPROVED Yeey!!
Dec 12th 2010 Approval Notice sent (screeeech!!moved and forgot to update my home address!! aiyaiyai)
Apr 12th 2011 Application for action on an approved petition sent
May 2nd 2011 Duplicate approval notice received
Sep 9th 2011 I485 and I765 applications sent
Sep 14th 2011 I797C NOA received
Sep 16th 2011 ASC Biometrics Appointment Notice received
Oct 14th 2011 Biometrics Done
Oct 25th 2011 EAD Card production ordered
Oct 26th 2011 EAD Card sent to my home address ( thank God!!)
Oct 28th 2011 EAD Card in hand. Thank you Lord
Nov 14th 2011 I 485 Case transferred to NBC to speed up processing.what does this mean???

waiting.....the whole year of 2012 passes by without a word!!

Apr 17th 2013 I get a letter asking for a I 864W form to complete I485 processing and its orange in colour

Sep 10th 2013 I 485 Interview

I wasnt approved that day, was given another date after the IO requested documents i had that were not very clear to her to be notarized by the court.

Oct 4th 2013 Went back to the IO with the requested documents and she said the decision will be mailed to me.

Nov 1st 2013 I got my I797C USCIS Notification Letter of Approval of my I 485

Nov 8th 2013 Green card got mailed to my address

11.12.13 received my 10 year green card. Thank God. Journey Complete

How long did it take to approve your I360? Did you have an I485 pending or did you apply for a new one?

HI INPEACE,

MY CASE TOOK 11 MONTHS FOR APPROVAL, I SENT MY I360 IN JUNE 2009 AND IT WAS APPROVED IN MAY 2010, ALSO THEY SENT ME 2 RFE'S DURING THIS TIME.

I FILED MY I485 IN OCTOBER 2010 TO CHICAGO LOCK-BOX AND THEY TRANSFERRED IT TO NATIONAL BENEFIT CENTER.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY TRANSFERRED IT TO NATIONAL BENEFIT CENTER. :(

hey everyone. I have already applied VAWA SINCE august 2010. I got my emplyment card. so far it has been 7 month I didn't get anything from immigration is that normal? can any body get me some advice?

Hi lucymiss, I guess we are in the same boat here...I applied also in August 2010, i got prima facie which has expired now, and I am yet to receive a renewal. No RFE's, no touch, nothing :unsure:

Did you receive a prima facie or RFE? Please let me know since we applied around the same time.

thank u for your reply.I ONLY got prima facie.just like yours. expired. do we have to get a renewal. my laywer ask me to wait, me too not sure .keep in touch. so you have any friends they had the same situation?

Hello lucymiss, I have a lawyer handling my case, and I paid the lawyer fees and thats all. I did not have to pay for the VAWA fees, it was waived, since I am unemployed and can't afford to pay it. You do not have to pay for that, I believe.

I will let you know how things go.

hey myjay, did you apply for I485? THAT is 1010. my laywer said he can't waive the fee.

you can send renewal letter for your Prima facie. it will be renewed. I had mine renewed four times. There is no way anyone can determine that how many touches you will get before approval. Any time officer look at the file for any reason , file gets one touch, regardless if its prima facie renewal or RFE or else. I have seen, two or three touches in a row when VT makes the decision, I figured thats for officer's and his supervisor sign -off on the decision. other then that no one knows. Just keepour finger crossed for a positive result..

June 1st, 2009 : RFE issued Good moral: replied june 15th 2009

July,17 2009 : Prima facie approvel received.renewed again march 3, 2010

February 2, 2010 :I-765 filed, : denied

August 12,2010 :RFE issued on WAVA, more evidence needed.

sept 3rd 2010 : I-765 filed again. 9/15/2010:Filing receipt received.

Sept 15,2010 : REF answered with all evidences.9/17/2010:RFE recvd by USCIS.

Sept 19, 2010 : I 765 approved.

Sept 19,2010 : I360 touched. status changed to RFE Under review.

sept 20th 2010 : I 765 card production ordered, No Biometric, no picture etc.

sept 21 2010 : I 765 touched, still card in production.

Sept 22,2010 : I-765 touched, Card in production.

Sept 23, 2010 : I765, touched, Approval letter mailed. Card approved (???)

Sept 24,2010 : I 765 touched again. No change???

Sept 27, 2010 : EAD received.

october 3, 2010 : old expired EAD from last year touched (#######?)

October 5, 2010 : I 360 touched.

October 12,2010 : I 360 touched. Acceptance letter issued.???

Oct 13, 2010 : court date with IJ. I,m my own lawyer.

oct 13, 2010 : I 360 touched.

oct 14th2010 : I 360 touched

oct 15 2010 : I 360 touched.

OCt 20,1020 : I 360 approved.letter received.

oct 25 2010 : I 360 touched.

april 20 2011 : court date. I,m my own lawyer.I expedited my date: filed I 485, new date January 9th 2011, case terminated.

may 9th 2011 : I 485 interview.

MAy 25th 2011 : Card production ordered.
