Very simple, go to www.uscis.gov, then click on the icon that says"sign up for case updates", after that a new window will open, there click on "register as an applicant customer", read all the blah blah blah and press "accept", then start filling up your infos. I hope that help good luck to you.

Hi guys,

It's nice to see that there is some positive action going on here... Something really strange happened the other day... DHS called me just before Thanksgiving and left me a message.. they were like we need a good address to we could return some documents to you... and they left me a phone number...

This is SOO Weird.... and Creepy..

I immediately called my attorney and let him listen to this message.. even he said it was strange that they would call me

a) Don't these people know where I live? "What the hell do you mean by you need a GOOD address".. are these people that incompetent.. I mean if they have my phone number, the definitely have my address right?

b) This office was the original office that I filed it from before I moved to another State... I thought they already Transferred my case to the New State I live in.. Why is this old office calling me?

c) This was in regards to my Initial I-485 that I filed.. not the Vawa... I am soo confused..

I had my attorney call them back.. and they said they wanted to return the initial documents and photographs that I have submitted to the immigration officer when I went to my first interview with my husband back in August of 2007!!! He asked them why, and they said because they have closed the investigation on my case... Is this a good thing? Should I be worried? Why am I under investigation anyways?!

They told my attorney I need to be there when the documents arrive so I could sign for them, but my attorney gave them his address instead and they said that was fine since all my VAWA documents were going to him anyways, and I don't want my Crazy Ex to find out about this whatsoever because I feel like he is monitoring me and stocking my mails and emails..

My Attorney has not received anything from them since.... I didn't know snail mail takes that long.. Especially for documents that need to be signed....

Anyways, did anyone go through a similar experience? Any feedback would help...

Hello MyJay,

Go ahead and write them a reminder letter and send it out yourself. I believe you could send it out a month before your Prima Facie Expires. This is what I did and I recieved another Prima Facie in 2 weeks. My lawyer wrote the letter, but it is very very easy to write and The Lawyer should not charge you really... I think I gave the format a couple of pages back... Look for it and if you don't find it, I will look for it and post it again..

Basically you just give them your alien number and case number and tell them that your current Prima Facie is due to expire and you would like them to renew it for you...

Hello MyJay,

my case update,

I had case hearing today and case is terminated. Next step will be interview with immigration officer. I don't know how long it will take to get interview letter.

May 26th, 2009 : WAVA filed.

June 1st, 2009 : RFE issued Good moral: replied june 15th 2009

July,17 2009 : Prima facie approvel received.renewed again march 3, 2010

February 2, 2010 :I-765 filed, : denied

August 12,2010 :RFE issued on WAVA, more evidence needed.

sept 3rd 2010 : I-765 filed again. 9/15/2010:Filing receipt received.

Sept 15,2010 : REF answered with all evidences.9/17/2010:RFE recvd by USCIS.

Sept 19, 2010 : I 765 approved.

Sept 19,2010 : I360 touched. status changed to RFE Under review.

sept 20th 2010 : I 765 card production ordered, No Biometric, no picture etc.

sept 21 2010 : I 765 touched, still card in production.

Sept 22,2010 : I-765 touched, Card in production.

Hi gals,

CATHOLIC CHARITIES helped me out to file my petition. One of the immigration representative, represent my case. Thank God I had all the requirements needed to file for the petition. Marriage license, wedding pics, previous marriages of my husband, previous arrest of my husband, offline messages that was sent by him, FBI rapsheet of mine to prove of my good moral character, police report, 911 call, shelter recommendation from the director, therapist letter, shelter exit paper, letter from my dad, mom and friend, birth certificate of my husband that he is a US CITIZEN. Engagement Certificate that we both signed before I came here, Engagement pictures, receipts that he spent when we met and receipts that we spent for the engagement party, order of protection. We both met at the court and underwent to hearing. The judge approved the order after she caught him lying. I showed the judge the offline messages that he sent to me. They are all threats, terrorizing and harrassment. When I called the 911, the police came and after hearing both sides, the officer gave me a number of a domestic violence shelter where I can go and the officer dropped me off at the shelter as what the shelter instructed. The shelter who helped me out of any kind of assistance. I had a legal advocate who helped me out all the court proceedings. I had a lawyer but couldn't rely on him, never cared. Good thing I had this mortgage that shows he owned the house that I claimed we both lived together, and one postal letter. One more thing, proof that there was a domestic violence occured in his third mariage. My reprsentative didn't send out petition unless I got the requirements needed.

Do u think guys all my requirements are enough of a ground of approval?

Hi Sanchai23, it looks as though you pretty much have everything for a strong case and quick approval.

How long were you married? If you don't mind my askling. And do you have kids together? You also must have proof that you married in good faith and not just for the immigration papers.

well question i filed my Vawa petition concurrently with I-765 and I-485 on October 16 2010 .. I received prima facie and my employment card. But I have not receive any notice of my I-360. should i be worried ? i do not have an asttorney so any help is appreciated. Thanx :)

10/16/2010- mailed I-360, I-485, and I-765

10/20/2010- package received at the Vermont Service Center

10/25/2010- return receipts received

11/01/2010- receipts for all three applications received

11/15/2010- prima facie received for I-360 (good for 180 days)

11-22-2010-received notice to capture biometrics appt

12-20-2010- appt to capture biometrics 10AM

1-07-2011- APPROVAL AND ordered production of Employment Card

01-13-11- EAD CARD ARRIVED
