Just got a denil mail after 29 month!

So I guess it's over for me is anyone else went to the same situation?

Also what will be next after the denil take place deportation?

Any advice will be apreciate.

What's the ground for denial, if you dont mind me asking.

I dont know what to say, maybe try to appeal? or re file? that is so unfair why did they have to let you wait for 29 mos. if they're just going to deny it?

Iam now afraid..

Hello mafen, I'm really heart broken for you...I can't begin to imagine what you must be going through right now.

You can appeal the decision, within 33 days or so if I am not mistaken. Or re-file. Your lawyer should know the next step for you to take. I know you got a letter a few months ago - intend to deny. What other evidence were they asking for? If you have that now, you still have a case.

Take heart, its not over until it's over.

Good luck to everyone else.

Hi everyone!

I just started a new thread over here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/284053-vawa-based-on-emotional-mental-economic-abuse/

But I feel that maybe there is someone in this thread who could help me?

Was there physical abuse involved in all of your cases that were approved? What are some of the reasons VAWA petition was denied?

It says in order to qualify you have to be "battered and be a subject of the extreme cruelty". What do you mean by economic abuse anyways?

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY I am finally free, goodness, i just cant beleive it. My green card journey was painful because of thier mistakes with adress changing so i had to wait about 4months for the new interview letter and they messed up again with it and mailed it to the wrong adress so i missed the interview :wow: After that i went to infopass and did not leave till they gave me the new interview dates right there.

So interview was done a month ago, was nothing, no questions about abuse or anything, lady just said to be careful with online dating like i plan to do so again LOLOL and that was it. looked at the originals of documents like SSN, birth certificate, passport etc; also said to take new finger prints since mine were too old, and wait for decision. today i finally got the "card production ordered" email from USCIS.

So my I-485 process took 7months and 5days total since my I-360 approval, did everything by myself.

Now lets dance and celebrate :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Good Luck to each of you whos waiting and lots of patience................ it feels soo good at the end.

thank you for sharing, i am going through the same path its over two months already for me since my first interview date suposely i am waiting for a second interveiw date because i also changed of address and changed of state i got infopass i went there and they sent me back they said that i have to wait, but the way that lady was very rude but anyways i am very happy for you show us determination and more. Have a happythanksgivig :)

First, I wish everyone all the best and a nice holiday season.

Next, I received my Prima Facie Notice a week after filing my 360 petition. There are three sheets enclosed with the notice: 1. cover letter for the enclosed prima facie; 2. prima facie 3. A letter saying: "...due to recent changes in processing, a decision on your petition has been delayed. Files from another office are required to complete the adjudication of your case..."

By search previous postings, I realized that since my spouse filed 130/485 for me, VSC is probably getting the original files from the local USCIS office. My question is: A. Have you received a letter saying the same thing (delayed, waiting for files from another office) as I do? B. Will this affect the case processing time? C. Were you approved or waiting for approval?

Thank you all.

Please help me,

My VAWA got approved this July, I have an interview scheduled in the first week of December. I don't have an attorney, I will highly appreciate if somebody could please guide me through the process. I don't know what to take with me for the interview and what to expect.

I am taking all the documents listed in the interview letter but I don't have any documents relating to my ex as we got divorced just before my VAWA approval.

I will highly appreciate your inputs.

so yeah, I've had my interview today.

He took me to the room, asked me when I entered US and asked me when my birthday was. asked me whether i was ever deported or arrested. Then he asked me for my original birth certificate (I've filed translated certified copy), I told him I didn't have it on me.

So he started printing out something for 10 minutes and turned out it was RFE for the original of my birth certificate without translation. I had a copy of it though so I gave it him.

Then he was like "okay, now it seems like i have everything to finished your case".. so he was going to update my file but his computre freezed and the information didnt't go through.

He was like "well, i'm going to fix computer during the day, so that you gonna get your approval letter in a week and your card in 30 days or so", and i was like "is there any way i can check?", and he said "well, you will know that your information went though when you get an approval letter and your card".

Soooo, I've checked online 12 hours later, and there is still no update. that's stresses me out a lot. :(
