I was wondering if a police report be sufficient to proof abuse, because i have not visit any doctor or therapist.

Did you send the police report together with the i-360? if yes, USCIS needs more proof of abuse, you can write a detailed affidavit, imho

Stillhere, What key evidence do you have? each case is unique. I would not trust a lawyer's word on things. Just do your best and remain optimistic.

The key evidence have are 3 polices report, i was going to therapy for like 3 months, oh on the police is more like vandalism and guess emotional abuse, and also lost 2 job bcuz of my wife, her using immigration as a weappn to control manipulate and threated me with dportation. i also suffer lots of verba abuse, my spouse could be physical i didn't but give her the chanse to do so. We were married for 3 and 1/2 years and we had 3 interviews all of which my wife sabotage bcuz didn't want me to get my GC and more... You are right i don'ttrust any lawyer but like you said i'm trying to be optimist hoping things are going to work out for me.

StillHere, police reports are good evidences, is your spouse arrested or is there an order of protection served in court against your wife? I guess you have enough there to proof bona-fide marriage. (this is just my personally opinion) Good luck.

Unforttenatly i did not get a protection order against her but she got arrested one time when i call the police bcuz she had a warrant for her arrest about some criminal case and the thing i have to spend money to get her out of jail, so i did not want her to go prison bcuz of me, she is a criminal and she is crazy , my EAD got approved today so that is good thing. What about you, where are you in your process?

@ Mali & Senegal peeps:

Good moral character: Criminal bkg (local and state), if u have ever volunteered, get an affidavit, notarize (if they do not have letter heads) and send in. It helps.

2. Read you 'personal write up again' and ask if it is detailed enough. The key words are: probative details. Do not just say he/she kicked me or hit me. Explain how it started, what led to it and your reaction. What did u do to try help yourself? Did you call anyone, if not, why?

For example: a scenario that may have led for abuse: she/he asks for gas money; u ask what happened to yesterdays: a pot goes flying, as you turn, ur hair is pulled. Befor u know it, it is run for dear life. Show a pattern...most importantly, how it began, it's actual happening, what followed. These folks know that shiet just dont jump from the blues.

If need be, re-write with more details, even the ones u thot were irrelevant: that is your only chance to explain your side. Consider that if they deny you, u are on the next plane home, so do not look at anything as embarssing to include. It happened? Include it.

I hope you find peace and move on.

I filed on my own, with an arrest record to boot, but got my approval in 6 months and GC in 11 months.

Good luck sistas and brothers.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're all doing well. Well it's been about 2 months since my i-360 approval but I haven't heard anything, I've just had a few touches and the last one was October 5th. I'm getting extremely antsy; has anyone had their interview at the Newark office? If so, how long did it take to get your interview letter? I totally sympathize with everyone's frustrations, cause I have felt it and continue to feel it. Any input on when others have received their Interview Letter would be great. I've looked at other time lines, but most of them don't indicate what their local office is/was.

Thanks in advance! If you have any questions for me, please feel free to ask.

Applied for VAWA (incomplete package) April 6th, 2010

VAWA application received April 7th, 2010

NOA1 received April 16, 2010 (dated April 9th, 2010)

Prima Facie received April 21, 2010 (dated April 12th, 2010)

Sent out complete I-360 case including I-485 June 14th, 2010

Received email stating will receive a response within 60 days (probably either RFE or approval/denial) June 18th, 2010

I-360 touched June 19th, 2010

I-360 touched June 21st, 2010

I-360 touched June 23rd, 2010

Submitted I-765 July 2nd, 2010

I-765 touched July 8th, 2010

I-765 touched July 10th, 2010

I-765 DENIED (sooo pissed!) Aug 2nd, 2010

I-360 touched Aug 12th, 2010

I-360 touched Aug 27th, 2010

I-360 touched Aug 30th, 2010

I-360 APPROVED!!! Sept 7th, 2010

Received approval email Sept 8th, 2010

I-360 touched Sept 11th, 2010

First of all thx for your advise, i agreed wit everything you said. My personal declaration is like 15 pges and everything is details and each eccident is supported wit a police repprt or a affidavid from someone who knew about it. She threated to the point that sometime i was scared to go outside but all those time i learn from my mistak and man up.Bit i was never violent with her,she took my kindness for weakness. Like my declaration is like 15 pages is very detail, why ans how we got into afight and what did i do. My spouse thought she owes therefore she can do orsay anything she wanted to me but i learned my lesson by the hard way. She threated me twice with a knife. I had like three ppl read my affidavit all of them were wow!!! you lucky you still alive. But im only worried about what they going to thing about the bonafide of my marriage btu i have plenty of evidence from income taxes to bills and me paying her twice to get her out jail and hired a criminal lawyer for her, visited hervin jail twice aweek etc...the i-130 and i-485 got denied bcuz of discrenpacies in our interviews and also we never received the NOID nor did my former lawyer and i don't any criminal record. Im just about them say that my relationship wasn't bonafide. whatbdo you think base on the infos i provided. thsnk you .GOD BLESS and good.luck to everyone.

I had my interview in the Newark office and it went very smooth. No questions about the I-360 only questions fro the i-485, my EAD card, proof that its me , my i-94w and that was it. I parked 2 blocks from the immigration office, big parking lot. Arrived on time and the lady that interviewed me was very professional. If you have questions pm me happy to answer anything.

Congrats to all the approvals and to everyone that is waiting still, it will all be ok just have faith and do right in life.

Ashley, I don't think that they gonna deny you because you did not submit all the evidence earlier, that's way uscis requesting for further evidence so they can thorougly review your case. just my 2 cents.
