Congratulations Honey610, Manu and one of the veterans of this forum EWTN2009.I hope things only get better for all in the future.

EWTN2009 - to answer to your question, i am guessing you have already filed i-485 because it usually gets transferred to local office for the interview. if you are not up to date on your biometrics(fingerprinting), go ahead and schedule an appointment with uscis to get your fingerprinting completed and then wait for the 485 interview notice. I hope things work out for you. good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks Kwala and anonymous for answering my question. I think I'm the only one in this forum who has left USA while my I-360 was still pending. I'm not sure how things are going to work out for me, but I'll keep you posted. For now, I can only say my lawyer hasn't received my approval notice letter in the mail and I will wait until then to approach the next step.

Thanks again TO ALL for your encourage during this journey. Keep your eyes straight to OUR GOD and DO NOT LET ANYONE BEND ON YOU.

(L) God bless you (L) !!!!

Hi EWTN ,

you should be awar of next steps . contact your lawyer to get notice of approval ,original because VSC send two .also if you have i-485 pending they will transfer it to NBC and they will send finger print and interview notice .your attorney should contact VSC to Hold the i-485 and also the attorney should file ,action on an approved petition to send vis to departement of state for visa to come back to land of humain right .

you are truly deserve approval because you never give up even all those darkness and torture of delay .

wish you have best feeling better than befor .

folow up with attorney . EWTN i am very happy to hear good news .

it aint about how hard you hit .its about how hard you can get hit and how much you can take and keep moving forward even broken

Hello Everyone (Again....)

I need information.....

OK. Finally had my interview for I-485. Did not get a Yes or No or Maybe answer but she made a comment of "everything seems to be in order. I was handed a paper saying I would hear from them but does not indicate when. I can't tell if I did good or bad.

Questions were the basic questions on addresses of where I lived since being here and with who and if I was working. I believe more about my already approved I-360 than the I485.

Does anyone know what the heck is going on or how long it should take to hear an answer. My head is spinning and tired of all the waiting for 2 1/2 years. My life is on hold!!

I-360 Time Line

May 2008 - 1st attorney filed I-360

August 2008 - 2nd attorney re-filed I-360 after no response of file from first

2008 PFD - 2 received extensions

2009 PFD - 3 extensions

November 2009 - RFE received and sent back first week.

November 2009 - 2nd week USCIS letter stating 60 days to make decision.

January - 2010 - received 60 day extension

February - 2010- APPROVED I-360

Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone here is doing well. Any updates so far? Has anyone who filled this year been approved yet?

And one more thing, did anyone of you get a letter from Vermont saying that your application is being delayed due to the fact that they are awaiting for files to be transfered from a different office?

What files are they referring to?

And has anyone been approved who received such letter?

Thanks for all the feedback.

I just got off th phone with USCIS telling them that my case is outside of processing time. They stated that they will submit a service request to Vermont and I will hear something in 30 days...

I keep praying that that will be the case, but USCIS keeps letting me down time and time again.... Oh God please have an approval for me soon...!!! God please have an approval for every sincere and oppressed person on this forum...

I do not want to be too specific for obvious reasons but around the last 7 days I had the interview.

UKRUSA - I dont want to get your hopes very high, but I think you are fine, there is just going to be some delay in handing out the approval card.I havent heard of any rejections so far when they dont give an answer during the interview, I am an example. I recently saw my status as card production ordered and went through the same ordeal as you.I know two others either in this forum or a different forum who had the same experience too.

I know the wait just takes a toll on us and its right now on me too but we are helpless and can do nothing but wait.I hope things go your way and again I think you are fine.

Thanks for all the input. Thanks berrgon, kwala, and tuna_fsk.

berrgon i mailed my vawa petition only early last month, and although I'm aware that the current processing time is 5 months, I got worried when I received the cover letter saying my application was going to be delayed.

I'm hoping things work out fast for me, I have a two year old, and I have no work authorization. It's been extremely difficult for me, it's worse because my baby also has a serious medical condition. But it's OK, i'm confident I serve a living God, i fight my battles on my knees-praying.

Goodluck to everyone.

Let me add to the above. The processing time is 6 months but it does not say it will be approve within 6 months. You will hear action on File withing 6 month that also includes issuing the receipt, and NOA. I-797 or I-797C.

IF all the evidence and proofs are submitted with the application it will be approved within 180day otherwise FRE will be issued, Once the RFE is issued it will take another 87 days for alien to respond. once the Answer to RFE is received by the USCIS then they have 60 days window to answer. Thats where either decision will come or Another RFE.

Therefore 6 mo time is only for the first action on file. thats how USCIS counts the time period.

In case of I 765, its 90 days and if RFI is issued then it will take another 87 days from the date of FRE issued.

In case of Calling for infor query it will go thru the first tow major steps . I 90 and N 400 application then only it wil be answered by Officer, once answered its regularal protocol to answerby saying you will receive answer in the mail withing 45days.

Once you receive the answere it will be generic letter stating that "we receive enquiry on your behalf.Either it will take 45 days to answer" or the letter will say we required you to send us a written request" once you send written request , it will open up another 45 days window"

Basically its a wasta of time. Calling 800 number does not expedite the process, Sometime office will say, that the last info we have on you case. This means customer service can onlhy read the last status and if you ask they will fill a form to send request for status check. thats all.
