Congratulations Manu. I am still preparing my 360 filing. I have a police report and a final order of protection. In my case, there is no eye witness of the abuse other than the police and court records. I have several letters signed by friends and the landlord saying we live together and they heard my wife's behavior, etc. But now I am getting anxious because I am waiting for more letters and going through counseling which means I am re-living my abuse. It has been more than 2 months and I am still working on this. Sometimes I wonder I can just submit what I have now and wait for the RFE. I felt stressed out. Do you guys have any advice? Thanks in advance.

tuckahoe8 - While its a good idea to give as much evidence as possible, you might want to look at the checklist of items required and if you have all of that ready, just go ahead and submit. However, continue collecting whatever you could collect in addition and save it for RFE or if required during the interview.Good luck to you

Hi Everyone!

I have great news, my I-360 was approved yesterday! Though I didn't know until today when I got the email. Thank you all for your support. I'm in such disbelief that it actually happened and it happened exactly 5 months to the day I filed.

Anyway, to those of you who are waiting, keep the faith. It's so damn hard and I questioned myself so many times, but it all worked out.

I would suggest anyone who goes through this process to get a good attorney. If you're confident to do it yourself, go ahead, but I had a great attorney and yes I paid $4500 for her but it was worth it.

Just in case anyone wants to know what I sent with my package, here it is:

- letter from therapist when I was with my husband

- letter from another therapist after we separated

- his medical records from the hospital

- I only had two pics of me and my husband, but I had lots of mail showing we lived at the same address

- joint bank account statements

- copy of his citizenship, driver's license

Good to luck to you all! :)

Applied for VAWA (incomplete package) April 6th, 2010

VAWA application received April 7th, 2010

NOA1 received April 16, 2010 (dated April 9th, 2010)

Prima Facie received April 21, 2010 (dated April 12th, 2010)

Sent out complete I-360 case including I-485 June 14th, 2010

Received email stating will receive a response within 60 days (probably either RFE or approval/denial) June 18th, 2010

I-360 touched June 19th, 2010

I-360 touched June 21st, 2010

I-360 touched June 23rd, 2010

Submitted I-765 July 2nd, 2010

I-765 touched July 8th, 2010

I-765 touched July 10th, 2010
