I guess they transfered ur case to the local office. Thats what they did mine. After they transferres to local office they called me for fingerprints then immediately after fingerprints they send a interview letter a week later.

Sweer mgeni i have a question. is the NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER the same than the local office and how long it took you interview letter after your approval notice. And how it was ? Do you have your GC.

Also can any body give me an advice as i don't know what to do it seems that my notices are arriving to the office of my former lawyers and not to my address what can i do to make sure i will get it to my address and also since i moved to other state should i just leave it like that and wait for the interview notice or not. I made the change of address but i think VSC still believe they represent me. Other question should i start divorce process is that important for them? i don't know anything about it, i just know i don't have any money to pay any fees or lawyers

Thank you for any of your advices.

Hello Everyone! Sorry haven't been here for a while... Wow! So much going on here :)

I have been very busy with a new job but equally excited and happy. As for touches, I just logged on and I saw a touch on my petition today. Not sure what that means but sure am hoping for the best as I am approaching the 60 days timeline they gave me for a response. I am really hoping for the best. Checking the status constantly sometimes creates unnecessary anxiety so I just try not to think about it and don't always check the status. So once in a while like today, there are pleasant (?) surprises that atleast someone is looking at the application.

Any more approvals or any other news? Will keep you all posted on the progress on my end and feel free to ask questions if I could be of any help to anyone. It's a tough journey but hang in there, be patient, and look forward in life...

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade and we sure could use some lemonade in this hot weather! lol

Hello friends,

Today I called USCIS Customer Service and complained about my Biometrics Appointment that I haven't received as of now and the lady at the Customer Service escalated my request and transfered me to an Immigration Officer, she looked into my case file and said according to my record I was scheduled for Biometrics on 08/26/2010 by the Adjudicating Officer assigned to my AOS case but they haven't mail it yet, that I should be expecting it in the mail soon. My interview is on 08/18/2010 and my Biometrics was scheduled for 08/26/2010...I planned that when I received it I will do Walk-In Biometrics if they allow me to do it before my interview date. Why was it like that? Interview before Biometrics Appointment? Isn't it weird or is it a normal process? The Officer lady said my case process is in good shape that everything will wrap up in August 2010. She even said my case is pretty fast that I should have nothing to worry about other than to show up for my interview. Am seriously anxious and can't wait for my interview day to come.....Approval is coming up in August for many people in here because August is known for massive Approval of I-360 Vawa case and AOS I-485 Vawa related case, mark my word. Good luck to everybody!!

Hello Yahyah,

Wow your case is pretty slow and overdue for approval. Just a question..When you did your background check in replying to ur RFE did you have any criminal record? Because when you sent back ur RFE Background check they should have approved your case if there is no criminal record that will make you inadmissible...Something is not right here..You filed your case in November, 2008 and I filed mine on January, 2009 and many people in that processing time already got a decision, either approval or denial. Maybe your name got stuck in FBI name check and Security checks...I bet you that, because they could have denial you long time ago if that is not the case. Maybe they flag your case file and mark your file for further security check..Also maybe your country and your religion trigger further security checks or maybe somebody already report you and make false allegation on you to USCIS. Nothing personal though but trust me that is the problem. Your name got stuck in FBI and National Security Check...Don't worry when everything came back cleared you will be approved..It might take a while but they will surely approved you if there is nothing on you. Good luck Man! Hang in there and be more patient because if they want to denial you they could have done that long time ago. That is my 2 cent advice to you!

@ManuHi

Good Luck in your interview!!!, Have you visited any lawyer lately concerning your interview? my case was approved two weeks after yours so i hope i will have a letter interview soon. i also visited catholic charities as soon as i new i was approved they gave me an appointment a month later this friday i am going to ask her all questions i have, any suggestions?, there is on thing that is bothering me and i want to share with you guys, i think that we don't have to prove abuse anymore and if they dare to ask us we have to be strong and answer all questions and be very confident as you know you are telling the truth. but what a read is that the interview have one mission an is to find the applicant admissible to have a visa. so my question is when am i inadmissible? if you have criminal background you probably are not going to be approve in the interview, well with some exeptions; second i read one girl was not approved and she said she did not have any criminal record that was a red flag for me, why she would be inadmissible so i kept searching and i found grounds of inadmissibility basicaly everything it has to do with immigrations rules. like if you overstayed or worked without permission that is very common within immigrants, so if you followed all the rules you don't have nothing to worry about but if you think that there is something that incriminates you probably need to visit a lawyer.

I wish you good luck and keep us post it :thumbs:

Hi Kwala, i want to thank you for your words. i have my approval notice with me it didn't get lost. i know you got approval after 4 years of filying they should had sent you GC instead. please let us know what is new. and good luck too.
