i thought so too.. but kwala thinks otherwise and thinks there is no problem with the system and its an approval.i dont know what to make of any of these touch..its depressing and frustrating and only adds to all the existing problems..i think most of you agree here.

I understand the frustation that we all are going through...

my !-485 was touched on 9th july so i am expecting something..

My question is that when they call you for interview and take your 1-94 that is 100 % approval on your case then why do they not stamp youe passport with i-551. Schazti wrote that she hasn't heard anything since june 16th interview not even welcoming a new resident notice. what is that all about.

Generally your independence ticket ( GC ) should arrive in 2 weeks time after interview if it is approved.

I am kinda confused as what uscis has in its system.is it just delay or incompetence.

Glitch in the system or not don't count to much on the online case status. I basically finished my process and its still on acceptance. I got a touch on june 16 and one on june 16. Before that I had no touches since march 13. So don't worry about it. I know its hard to wait, and believe me I can't wait for all to be over but just try to be patient.

I-360 VAWA:

February 4 2010, APPROVED.

February 21 2010 AOS filed

March 1 2010 Noa for AOS and EAD

I would also like to hear from Twototango. I have not heard anything from them yet. my interview was on 7/1/10 no touches where made but they took my i-94. Am still waiting......

hi mgeni this is what hapened to you :)

QUESTION

Hi All,

My interview was on January 22 last thursday in OKC and the IO told us that he will be approving my case. He took my I-94/AP but did not take my EAD or stamp my passport. I have seen no LUDs/updates on the USCIS website or I have not received any welcome E-mail. I have received none of the follow-up information either electronically or through regular mail from MSC.

Is this normal? It has been a week since the interview and having no updates is worrying me. If any one of you are in the same situation or been through this before, please reply...

Thanks

Hi

Have a quick question. If there is no update from uscis and if I do set up an infopass appointment, can I ask the IO officer to give my I-94 and AP back so that I can travel again while the case is pending? Because of work and family travel, I might have to leave the country and come back. I am assuming that once the file at a local field office, it wont be sent back to a service center and they have all our paper work/records.

Thanks

RESPONSE

Hi All,

Just received an email from USCIS that production of my card has been ordered. Thank you all for your support. I will update when I receive the actual card through mail.

Thanks

it aint about how hard you hit .its about how hard you can get hit and how much you can take and keep moving forward even broken

Hi Fellow members,

Two days ago, I got email from USCIS saying that my I765 was approved. Another email was sent yesterday saying that "production of new card" was ordered.

I was wondering in how many days I should expect to receive the EAD card, so that I can finally start working. Is it possible to start working based on the I765 approval notice? Or EAD card is absolutely required?

I have reviewed the time-lines for fellow members: colours, schatzi3277, lostinNJ, Manu, tuna_fsk and seen varying times in which the I765 EAD card was mailed (from couple of days to 2 weeks).

Also, I had a question for fellow members regarding what to expect next. Should I expect any movement on I360 in next 2-3 months? What about overseas travel, before I360 and I485 is adjudicated upon?

Congrats to Manu for I360 approval! I wish you all the best in I485 approval.

Around page 137, Kwala mentioned reviewing pages from 70 till present to get a good idea about the VAWA process. Thanks for that suggestion! I must admit that I have only read ~20 pages out of 142, but will follow Kwala's advice.

Good luck to all fellow members and be in touch.
