I don't know what to tell you....... my frist and only one prima facie letter it does not say that I could request an extension 15 days before expires. It only says my case will be adjudicate within 150 days (which it's at the end of sept).......What a loooooooooooong way to suffer thru this.........

Read this internal Memo, which stipulates that you are entitled to apply for a 60-day extension. USCIS has the discretion to deny it, if you have not complied with the requirements, of course. It is the attachment I have added to this post. Here, Prima_Facie_Extension_4.8.04_1_.pdf

Hi Joanne28 Congratulations for your approved case, I'll have a couple questions for you. You say:

Dec. 2008- you requested for Prima Facie extension

April 2009- Contacted Catholic Charities of Miami

Right away they filed my case (GOD bless them all) I didn't understand what did Catholic Charities did exactly for you? did they expedite your case or did they refiled it?

04/19/2013 - Married to my U.S.Citizen wife

04/26/2013 - Mailed forms I-130, I-765 and I-485, received by USCIS 04/29/2013

05/06/2013 - Received NOA's for all three forms; all dated 05/01/2013

05/10/2013 - Received Biometrics appointment for 06/03/2013

05/22/2013 - Biometrics taken walk-in

05/21/2013 - Request for evidence (supporting docs for I-864, obtained a joint sponsor)

06/12/2013 - Response to request for evidence received

06/19/2013 - I-485 Case Status updated to Testing & Interview

06/26/2013 - Received an e-mail AOS interview date is 07/29/2013

06/28/2013 - NOA for interview date and time received in mail

07/29/2013 - ***I-485 INTERVIEW*** @12:15

08/05/2013- EAD Received

My I-360 is already filed, but my previous attorney made a mistake of filing my EAD without the I-485 and it was denied (I was out of work since 2006!), the Catholic Charities explained the whole thing to me and they filed my I-485 and EAD as soon as I contacted them. I'm sure if you're just filing for I-360 they will be of big help. They have branches all over the States, so just google Catholic Charities Legal Services available at your state.

Goodluck.

Joanne

Joanne28, congratulation! :) Now you can move on with your life.

I don't believe processing time anymore. I wonder why one case approved in one year within processing time and another one taking more then 15 months. For the last days i feel like i can't handle it anymore. I want already hear yes or no. If they denied my case then i will need hired an attorney so i can take my child home with me. I don't think his father can do anything because he is in prison now and has charges with child sexual abuse. I hope i can take my child with me, this is my biggest consern.
