I divorced my now ex husband before i filed the i-360. I filed in August 2009 and got approved without and additional evidence. End of February I send my i-485 and application for EAD. Talked to an immigration officer today and was told that my notice of receipt was send out on monday.

Before you filed I-360.. wow ..

I filed nOV 2009 and no Rfe nothing yet .. but I did check my status online its says that I should get written mail from Vermont when they update my case .. so I'll wait for it ..

Before you filed I-360.. wow ..

the divorce papers and my ex husbands signature admitting to everything helped a lot. And of course my divorce based on domestic violence. I also send in a police clearance right away. I got the prima facie fast and right before that was about to run out i got approved. I filed everything on my own no lawyers. Just dont have to money. Also the i=485 and ead i filed alone. All i paid was the 1010.00 filing fee but the fee for the i-360 got waived. So there is hope for all the once that are still waiting. Good luck to everyone.

August 3 2009 filed.

August 10 2009 NOA1

August 11 2009 NOA2, Prima Facie Case established

January 7 2010 Initial Grant of deferred Action

February 4 2010, APPROVED.

February 21 2010 AOS filed

March 1 2010 Noa for AOS and EAD

April 24 2010 EAD Card production ordered

May 3 2010 EAD card in mail

May 13 2010 Interview notice for JUNE 16 2010

March 5, 2011 Received Welcome to America letter

No Not yet I should wait more couple weeks then they will have result or decision ..

I dont get rfe since I filed ..

But I have a question all of you guys here pls help me to know ..

Is thatok to travel around US,im going to california without states ID Only I have is passport ??

DO THEY check my status here in US? or what ?

And who is already divorced to thier spouse while thier case is pending??

Hi Ashley,

You can travel within US with your passport. It should not be a problem. And about divorce one can file VAWA even after divorce but it should be within two years so you don't need to worry. Relax and best of luck.

Anyone, please help answer this.

Is it possible to get a job with a VAWA approval? I have a job offer and showed the VAWA approval (I filed the AOS 5 days ago), but they are insisting on seeing the card.

What can I do?

I really need this job people, urgently.

Hi MulanJohns,

You need to have valid Employment card and that's what they must be asking from you. From your timeline it seems that you have applied for EAD and once you get your EAD card you can show them. Best of Luck.

I think it's OK just to have a valid passport.My friends travel around US just showing their passports and that's it.

as the latest on my case . the 45 days has been pass and no DECISION YET i just send a letter to the homeland secuirty in WDC

Hey guys my lawyer tells me that I can't apply for EAD while I'm waiting for VAWA approval and at the same time I see some of you did manage to apply for EAD while waiting - what's going on is my lawyer wrong ?

BTW my lawer also didn't apply for my EAD while i was waiting for my approval, I think you can apply for EAD while waiting, I've got my EAD in november after approval of my vawa case and a green card in a month...so I was a holder of EAD only for a month :hehe:

Thank you. My case was approved on february 4, 2010. It took 176 days. My prima facie was about to run out and 3 days before it expired I got my approval.

You can always call customer service, but from what I understood you can apply for an EAD while waiting. There is a specific section that you can file under. You can adjust your status anymore while you are waiting for your VAWA to be approved.

did any body know what the maximum time USCIS can keep your petition with out decision or when your petition get expier or is any time line they have to answer your petition or request

17 month NO DECISION NO RFE IS WEIRD?
