:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: Checked my mailbox when I got home & there sat the approval letter for our I-130...next stop NVC. Our case got touched several times, but no status update or e-mail that we were approved...but we got the hard copy today! I'm so excited.

Good luck to all those still waiting...please know your time is coming soon. I know how it feels to wait, but trust me, when you see that approval letter all the time you waited will quickly leave your mind!!!

Amanda

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Thanks so much! I am praying for a short stop at NVC and then to Amman! I am a little nervous about the interview part, but as far as I know my husband will be meeting with our immigration attorney when they know the interview date so he can go over what he should do at the interview!

I'm not exactly sure how this whole thing works. I thought we applied for a K-3 visa, but it turns out that our immigration attorney was going the CR-1 route. Some of the VJ veterans would probably be able to help you out more. I know that our attorney really had everything together and there were no RFEs. But you submitted yours around the same time I did so you should probably hear something very soon. Our case got touched several times after it was transferred to CA on Jan. 14th. It was touched on Jan. 29th..which is the actual approval date on the letter we got, then touched again on Jan. 30th...which I am assuming is when they sent the hard copy notice. I registered for case status update by e-mail, but haven't received an e-mail yet! Looks like they are not consistent & very sporadic about the whole thing! I wish you lots of luck!
