Hi all - I am new to this section of the forum. After 6 months of Administrative Processing/Security Name Checks and 14 months total of this visa process, the name checks are complete and the embassy is ready to issue the visa (we just found out today!) Now I am starting to focus on the next steps and am wondering if we are likely to be subject to lengthy name checks again when we apply to adjust status.

Thanks for your input!

Julia

Julia anytime you apply with a new petition and the biometrics are required it means that they will run the name and fingerprints once again. It is possible that he could be stuck in name checks or he could breeze through this time. No one can say for sure if he will be affected or not. Good luck and congratulations on your long awaited approval.

Name check on his part - they said when they entered his name in their system it was red-flagged and they were required to send the info to DOS in Washington for security checks.
