Ooooh this is one of the happiest days of my life! I emailed the embassy last Friday to inquire about our case. They responded today with:

"Dear Julia XXX,

As of today an administrative processing for Onur XXX has been completed. As soon as he mails his new medical report, the green refusal sheet given to him during the interview and his passport with UPS to our office, we will process his case as soon as possible and mail his immigrant visa to his address in Turkey.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa unit"

I am in shock! I feel like I must be dreaming! This does mean that he is getting the visa - right? Well, we won't be in the clear until that visa is in his passport, but I am ECSTATIC to say the least. I finally get to post some dancing men for myself! :dance: :dance: :dance:

I feel like i am a part of everyone's life.. I am on this site daily for hours and hours....

i just like to hear good news it gives me hope and clears my feelings that one day i will also get teh same news.!!

Thanx so much for sharign everyone it really helps me a lot... I don't know what i'd do without this site during my process...

4/10/08 - Married in Istanbul!

5/14/08 - Sent I-130 to Ankara via UPS

5/15/08 - Packet arrived in Ankara at US Embassy

6/2/08 - Received email from Embassy, our interview is schedule for 8/11/08

8/11/08 - Interview at US Embassy in Ankara, I-130 APPROVED!!!!!!

8/13/08 - Visa RECEIVED.....

11/7/08 - Flew from Istanbul to Denver (via JFK)

11/21/08 - SSN received in mail

12/18/08 - Green Card received!!!

I-751 (lifting conditions)

8/10/10 - Sent to California Processing Center

8/20/10 - Received AOS letter

8/26/10 - NOA received biometrics appointment notification

9/16/10 - Biometrics Appointment in San Francisco

10/7/10 - Approved!

Citizenship

1/24/12 - Date filed

5/30/12 - Oath Ceremony!!!!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thank you everyone! It is so true - one day it is finally over and you have no idea when that day will be. Just yesterday I was having a serious meltdown - I was a wreck!

For those still waiting - stay positive, it will happen. And like others have said - continue to check with the embassy and DOS on a regular basis. The embassy hasn't even updated their clearance site yet, but they responded to my email from Friday and that's how we found out.

Can I say I told you so? Hee hee... Yes, one day you're a wreck and the next day you're on cloud nine!

Now when he gets here, remember all this hassle and heartache and have patience while you teach him the ways here in the US. Good luck! (L)

Jaybie3--JULIAFERNO's fiance just arrived yesterday, so she might not get back to you right away, but I can answer you. They were in AP for 6 months from their interview. I am not sure what you mean by "final interview" since some of us in AP just have one interview and then just wait and wait and wait. I know some people must wait for AP to complete, and then have another interview, but this depends on the nature of the AP and the embassy's policies. JULIAFERNO's finace had one interview and just had to keep checking the embassy website until his case number appeared as being complete. I hope your AP finishes quickly, but feel free to complain with the rest of us on this forum who are stuck in AP limbo.
