Hello VJ community

I have a question for you and would like to hear your opinion. In 2005 I applied for a J1 visa at the US embassy in Bogota, I was interviewed by the consul and he told me that he denied the visa due to lack of ties to my country, I was with a friend and I decided to wait to see the outcome of her interview so I didn't leave the embassy waiting for her, two or more people had their interviews after I did,and it finally came my friend's turn, she got the visa but before she left the interview window, the consul asked her to call me back because he needed to talk to me again (I guess he had seen us chatting before) well I went back to the window and he asked me to return my denial slip and started typing in his computer, and asked me to tell him again about my experience with children (it was a J1 visa to work as an Au Pair) and 2 minutes later he gave me slip to pay for my visa delivery,he said you can pay and you will get your visa in a couple of days and I indeed got the visa and later travelled to usa without problems.

But now I have the question in the form that asked have you ever been refused a U.S. visa ? I don't know what to answer because I didn't have to apply again or pay the fee, I didn't even leave the embassy?

Thank you for your help
