It`s good to read stories like this one. I hope the press keeps it up. USCIS deserves all of the negative publicity it can get. Maybe the more stories like this one (and others recently), one day there`ll be enough pressure put on them that they might actually decide to get their act together. (nice to dream anyhow)

I especially found the part about her noticing so many people around when she comes to visit, who can barely speak english, much less even come close to her education and qualifications, already living here in the US. Kind of hits close to home......with my wife having 2 Masters degrees, and is nearly done with her PhD, and you couldn`t imagine all the hurdles we`ve had in trying to get her here.

Guess 7-Eleven and Mıckey D`s hiring takes priority over the others...... :hehe:

A lot of the immigration process , legal (and illegal  ).....just does not make a lot of sense.......

On a side note....however......if the process WAS taking so long though......geez.....he COULD have just bitten the bullet and married the woman. 4 years was a looooooong time to wait. Was marrying her THAT distasteful a process that being separated for so long was the better alternative? Have to wonder about that part...........

It's two women...the only state in which they could have married is Massachusetts, and even then the federal government would not recognize their marriage, so she would have been ineligible for a spousal visa.

I am not a practicing attorney. I have a law degree and I passed the bar exam, but am not admitted to practice because I got a job in legal publishing and haven't gotten around to applying for my license yet. Publishing is great, but it does not make you qualified to give legal advice. So I don't. I just want to get married to my fella, which is why I'm here! If you need legal help, seek the advice of a licensed attorney.
