i sent the package in and it was recieved and signed for on 12/29/08. until now i have not received anything from the USCIS, nada, zero, mayo, zilch, nothing, check has not cleared the bank nothiing. so i called them this morning to try and find out what has happened. well guess what, like an idiot i forgot to sign the check so they rejected it but that isnt the bad part. they returned the package via USPS to me on 12/30/08. well guess what i have never received it. up to now i have not seen a thing. I should have been concerned earlier as other people were getting my mail they sent me, like christmas cards, as undeliverable return to sender. why? who the hell knows! i have an idiot for a postman!! i have called the USPS and as you might guess they were worthless.

un*******believeable.

so where does this leave me? i could have the USCIS do a search to see if they had it returned to them as well. it would take 30 days and who knows if anything would turn up. sounds like a total waste of time to me. putting the package back together is no big deal, except for the original signatures from cathy. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH talk about a downer. she is going to be bummed. IDIOTS!!!!!

again i am reminded that 90% of people who say they know what they are doing dont or market themselves as experts arent. mediocrity is excellence for the mediocre.

since this is a family forum i wont type what i really want to type. \

I dont see where this is everyone elses fault and everyone is an idiot if he didnt sign the check.

As the above poster stated...learn from this....put the package back together remember and double check to sign the check this time and re-send it.

Welcome to life! put everything back together, REMEMBER to sign the check this time and send it again... Good luck!

Or wait a few days. Rejection doesn't necessarily mean the package is immediatly mailed back. It may take a while to clear the mail room. There's no "tracking" of what happens to a case file once somebody rejects it.

when my mail is not delivered, when it is returned to sender even though i still live there has nothing to do with signing or not signing a check. deliver my mail, i sign the check and everybody is happy. lose my mail, keep my mail, send it back for no reason what so ever, deliver it to who knows where, i'm sorry but that makes them idiots.

But you don't know anything of the kind happened, yet. USCIS is not all that speedy at mailing back rejected petitions or mailing approved ones to NVC for that matter.

You should straighten you your situation with the post office first since your other mail (cards, etc.) is not being delivered. You can call your postmaster (at the nearest physical post office location) and see if maybe they are holding it. You may not get a lot of info, other than confirming that they do not have it. I tend to be overly cautious about identity theft type things, I would consider a credit freeze (what if a bank statement was incorrectly delivered and considering your K-1 petition has a lot of private info). A credit freeze wouldn't stop someone from getting an ID or something in your name, but it would prevent some of the financial consequences.

Obviously, YOU know what you are doing, right? Except about that forgetting to sign the check thing, so stop waiting for the postman and submit a new I-129f with a new check. It will be simple because, since you know what you are doing unlike all the idiots messing up your life, you have made copies of everything and can assemble another package in much less time that it took to call the post office.

Oh, and this time, send it by certified mail so you get a receipt that it has been delivered and when.

Sorry, I am normally a mild mannered guy, but your repeated posts blaming others because you forgot to sign your check (a pretty dumbazz thing to do for something so important) is someone elses fault, it is your fault. It is YOUR bad. Now, I hope you have made a copy of everything, in which case you don't need anyone, you don't need to call anyone, the check you sent before is safe, YOU didn't sign it! Write a new check, SIGN it, put together another package and send it out tomorrow morning. Does your fiancee know you blame others for your mistakes?

I am again reminded that most of our problems are brought on ourselves and 90% of people will not take responsibility for their actions. I hope you have checked your file very well, better than you did your check (I never understand this about checks. I "forgot to sign". WHAT???? You are writing a check and you "forget to sign" What, you will sign it later so it is fresh? I am mean this is just about as dumbazz an excuse as I ever heard) Check your file good or you will be dealing with the USCIS and the USPS again and again as the idiots mess up and cause RFEs.

my initial response to the last two post was "whatever" but then i went back and read them again. i must take exception with you two, mr make send it regesterd and mr mild manner. most of the people here are supportive and responsive to my venting frustration with the USPS, but you two find it necessary to attack me personally with an attittude. at first i was a bit angry but then i just had to laugh at you two. obviously you dont get it so i will spell it out.

it is really quite simple, i havent blamed anyone for anything other then they cant deliver my mail to me SOME of the time. other times they seem to get it right. so i ask, how hard can it be to read an address? its just numbers and letters. i get my mail, i correct my mistake sign my check and send it back via FedEX again (note regestered, signed, trackable, like the I-129F package) and everyone is happy. but they (insert idiots) lost my mail and i cant correct my mistakce.

but with your and mr mild manner posts i can only guess your next response would be something stupid like, if you signed the check this wouldnt have happened. i love that logic like delivering mail hinges on other my penmanship. with this logic if we gave thiefs money they wouldnt have to steal it. the USPS screwed up and its that simple, they lost a very important piece of my mail. who knows whats next, my NOA or maybe something you need? if that happens i suspose that will be my fault as well.

I usually am mild mannered, ask anyone. You will notice that the two posts were both mine, which means there is no "you two" about it and you read the posts as carefully as you write checks.

I never complain about the USPS because I lived in Ukraine for two years couldn't bring myself to complain about the comparatively great service we receive from USPS (and no, I do not work for the USPS). Nor do I allow them to mess with my family's future plans. My life has never been determined by the lowest common denominator among us.

What makes you the responsible party in this case is

A) Not signing the check

B) Not taking any action when the check wasn't cashed in a few days. Stop payment, make a new file and send it certified (oh, and sign the check)

C) Waiting and waiting for the return of the unsigned, invalid check before you sent another package

You never answered if you made duplicate original G-325s and copies so you could instantly wisk out another petition so your fiancee does not have to wait any longer for this comedy of errors precipitated by not signing a check. If you did, good for you. If you didn't, add id as "D" above.

Y'know, most people realize when they made a mistake and make good on it. Any time I have been called on a mistake, I say "sorry, my mistake", but it was obvious from your posts you needed a blunt instrument applied to your noggin. Didn't work. Oh well, if you cannot handle the truth you have embarked on a very difficult journey. And by the way, I AM being supportive by observing you need to stop blaming everyone else in the world and take hold of this for yourself and do it right. I had my petition approved in less time that you are spending messing around with the so-called "idiots". My fiancee was impressed and thought her future husband to be a very clever man to handle the entire process with no delays and not a single question asked in two interviews (visa and AOS). I wonder if your fiancee will feel the same when you tell her how you have been victimized by all the idiots. Who knows? Maybe.

Yeah I asked a lot of questions here, and I got a blunt instrument applied to me a few times, (Pushbrk was especially adept at this, I still have bruises :))but I learned from it, picked myself up like a big boy and got back on the damn horse.

Or you could just say "Whatever"
