Claudeth gets along really well with my youngest daughter but my oldest is kind of stand-offish. :unsure:

Yes, it's even just as hard with adults children as it is with teenagers even if they don't live at home.

I think it is different if the women comes into a relationship with a man who has children. I also think it is harder for younger man to deal with a ready made family.

This is a real issue people need to address.....very hard on the relationship....very hard on the kids.....

Claudeth gets along really well with my youngest daughter but my oldest is kind of stand-offish. :unsure:

My wife and son get along, but I think it bothers him that she is prettier and younger than his wife! :dance:

It's the way you say it. Sounds like you are in some kind of competition with your own son. I don't know, it just sounded weird with that dancing emoticon and young and pretty comment.
