How's the biomtrics experience?

My husband doesn’t speak English, can’t drive because he has no license, and doesn’t know how to get to a specific address yet because I am the one always driving. His biometrics appointment is in about 2 weeks. My question is how is the biometrics experience? What do you exactly do? What can my husband expect on his appointment? Can I go w/ him and enter w/ him or would I have to be waiting outside or in a waiting space or something? Do we have to pay something?

p.s. we live in the Miami, FL area, just in case there’s a difference by cities or states

We dont have to pay for this correct since in the I-485 fee there was a fee for biometrics. another question, do you know if i can go with my husband to his appointment? Would they let me go in with him?
