Wait time between DS 230 receipt, case complete and interview

I was just wondering what is a reasonable "guesstimate" of how long it should be before I receive the case complete automated message after the receipt of DS 230 message... and also, how long between case complete and receiving notice of an interview date?

I know people call NVC all the time, but they DO send the information via regular snail mail, correct?

One last thing, do they send interview/medical info to both of us, or just one of us?

They told us 4-6 weeks, but I've read many other people on here who have done it sooner than that. I think a lot depends on which embassy your package gets sent to. Some work quicker than others, some are more busy than others, etc.

After the NVC receives your DS-230 and you've already sent them the I-864, they will take about 1-2 weeks to review it and complete your case. Then they start assigning interviews with the embassies during the first two weeks of the month and they usually assign them for the following month, depending on the embassy since some are busier than others. If they complete your case after the first two weeks of the month, they will probably assign your interview date during the first two weeks of the following month.

After the case is completed both, the petitioner and the beneficiary will receive packet 4 from the NVC which will include the interview letter and all other info regarding lab and medical exams.
