OK Dh said that the lady who gave him the interview in Casa she told him, the maximum is 40 days.

Today I called DOS and they said it could take 3-6months now which do we go by? I mean will his stuff be denied automatically for taking more time or what? I don't understand who to go by.

Another person told me that the people who do K-1 visa's get thiers quickly K-3/CR-1 have to wait and I don't get why? I mean we already are waiting longer to see our husbands/wives whatever so why should it take longer for us? Does anyone understand this? If so make it plain to me.

Thanks. :help:

My Fiance can ask a questions about the timing at the embassy to four different people and get four different answers. The second time you ask that same person the same question you will get yet another different answer.

It looks like AR is taking for 10days to 6months or a year.

The Reason the K-1 are easier is because it is a non-immigrant visa where you intend to marry in US. They tend to do the checks later. The CR1 is an immigrant visa so everythings taken taken care before it is issued.

Inshallah you AR is very short and they call you in the next couple of weeks to come pick up your vis.

I would not worry about being denied. AR is frustrating since the time is up in the air, but the only way you get a denial at this point is if they find something on him. The time varies, and I have heard common names can take longer. All you can really do is wait at this point and know the end is in sight.

Unfortunately, all you can do is wait. The good news is that, based on what I've seen in this forum, just about everyone eventually gets their visa after administrative processing.

I would call the DOS about once a week, but really it's not going to do any good other than maybe make you feel better. Don't worry though, you're almost there, and hopefully it'll be just a week or two.

 Sisters thank you all for answering my questions, I am totally scared right now but with all your support I know I can make it through this. It's so hard to be strong for everyone and have noone you can lean on yourself so I do appreciate you all and please keep it up.

I will add to what Kere said.

you know there is AP and AR. I think its AP then its AR. if you will get your visa after

AP then that is a very good thing. the longest we have had on the ISL thread is

2 years of AR. I dont know anyone longer than that.

I know how scary this is. I also know that you will get different answers from everyone, which leaves us all wondering how long this will actually take. Just take heart in knowing that in the most part here on VJ is about 6 weeks. Even that is hard, but doable. Hang in there and know that your VJ friends are behind you.

You mentioned a lady did the interview? Which one was it so far there has only been a mention of the mean women and the nice american man. Would you mind telling us more about the interview please? Id like to hear about it besides your doing the same visa as me not many do CR-1 in Morocco anymore. I wouldnt worry to much AR seems to be a routine in Morocco mostly anymore.
