How are you making out at NVC... are you going to persue both the K3 & CR1??

YES I will pursue both till it gets to the point that i will try to swap interview for CR-1 interview and will enter US with the CR-1

Hello ladies!

I was so busy today. It was my day off so I spent it trying to get my errands done. I've thought about it alot and talked about it with my husband. We're going to pursue the K-3 and deal with the AOS when he gets here, God willing. I really just need him here with me. I'm so tired of travelling. I never thought I would say this, but I just want to spend some quiet time at home with him. Start our life. Get to become used to each other! Believe it or not, after a year and a half, I still get butterflies in my tummy when I see him. I still get shy and scared like, "Will he like my outfit? Will he still think I'm beautiful? Will he like the gift I got him?" Stuff like that! LOL

For the heck of it I checked to see if they generated a number at NVC. Not yet. I didn't think so, but I figured, since I'm off, I may as well call and check.

Jen, I know what you feel. I start crying like 2 days before I have to leave. It is the hardest thing in the world when you're at the checkpoint in the airport and you have to separate. It's hard for me to stop kissing him and stop hugging him. Then I start crying my eyes out. I don't feel so bad though, because many times I've seen other ladies also crying in the same area LOL

I want so badly for you and Serendipity to get approved so we can change the thread and just start an NOA2 club!

I have no idea what they are doing with my petitions. Maybe they burned mine or maybe it is being used as someones coaster.

My questions is; if they moved it to processing 2 + weeks ago, what the heck is going on? Maybe they are doing the background check? But does it take 2+ weeks for that? Do they do a check on both of us or just my husband? What does the background check include? UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I'm so frustrated.

I'm glad I have all my VJ friends. This forum really helped me to understand alot of things. And it is nice to know there are others who are going through the same thing and really do understand.

Jen, hon, they gave me the impression that the background checks can take months, let alone weeks. I don't think it will take that long in your case, because of the expedite request. However, you can at least get more information when you come back and speak to the immigration officer at your infopass appointment. Keep your voice calm and quiet, cry if you have to, but don't make a scene. They can look stuff up if they want to. So hopefully you'll get someone compassionate enough to take the time to tell you what is going on.

Everytime we have had to separate we have joked about the suitcase too, but my husband is a tall guy wouldn't work unless he was 5'1 like me But you too took me back to that moment we said goodbye at the airport...Yikes! Worst time ever! U just get numb during that last hug ans tell yourself you have to be strong as you walk away but you can't help break down again once you're around the corner. But enjoy the last few days you have together and take solace that soon after your return you guys will be reunited for good this time: no more goodbyes, no more waiting and no more sleeping in separate beds or breathing the air on different continents That's what I tell myself on those days I need to be the strongest for both me and my hubby..Just think a lifetime of awaits for all of us once we are through we this excrutiatingly long process.

I have a Myspace and a Facebook. Most of my friends use facebook these days. I haven't logged on to myspace in a long time. It seems like older people (like myself) use facebook. My daughter told me myspace is so yesterday. So whatever.

I wanna join the weekend party thread but I can't get to that forum. GRRRRR. Even though I am here with my husband I still want to party.

I'm sucking off of the credit company across the street. Their internet is unsecured so I just tap in. Unfortunately, I only have 2 or 3 bars. I have a really good laptop but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I think I am going back to the mountian today because my husband has to work tonight and tomorrow night. I don't want to be in the house by myself so I want to go hang out with his mom and sisters and cousins. Only one cousin speaks English. HAHAHHAHA I don't care though. They treat me awesome.
