As long as it is the actual marriage certificate that they gave you, and not just the license, that should do it. Send a photocopy in your AOS package.

From your post it sounds like you may only have the license, in which case you will need to order a certificate.

By the way, the original certificate issued to us on the date of the marriage (sent by post) and the subseqyent certified copies are all exactly the same! I can't tell a difference. (At least from a court in Orlando, Florida.) Good Luck

Yes I mean marriage certificate also. It looks exactly the same - the original and the certified copies from the county. The marriage license was a little different. Good Luck

Marriage License is totally different than Certified Marriage Certificate.

AOS process requires the "Certified" Marriage Certificate. Your question would be what the heck is it??? :) It's a certified copy of your Marriage License, which is issued by your Local Court/Township Vital Record department, where they keep records of everyone's who own homes, married in their town.

That costs from $5-$50/copy (mine cost $50 each)

This Certified copy will have the Court/Township's float seal stamped on it, and the authority official will sign his/her name on that certified copy of the Marriage Certificate.

That's what you want to send in for your AOS.

still confuse???? someone helps!!! :) You can call your local township/court for more detail instruction.

You are not required to send a certified copy of the marriage certificate for AOS purposes. It is perfectly acceptable to send in a plain photocopy of the marriage certificate and bring the original with you for your interview.

yup
