Back to the top, Netherlands thread!!!!!:devil:

Hi Em :)

Great news on your medical and x-ray appointment.

They make you do it all in Amsterdam? No choice where you can do it? Well, at least they got you in fast :D !

It must be difficult for you to leave your cat behind-but at least you know she is going to have a good home  and no more fighting with the other cat :) they'll maybe be happier with themselves that way too-sorry, I know this probably makes it no easier; but-just trying to be positive!

It really seems like things really move quickly now! makes a change after waiting and waiting and waiting.....

I am excited for you!!!!!

tot ziens ( for now)! :)

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Hoi Michele

Yep, the medical and xray have to be done in Amsterdam and no other place. I live about 2.5 hours away from Amsterdam, so it's not that bad. It just takes a bit of planning and stuff + having to get up real early to get to the appointments on time and not getting stuck in morning traffic. One of my sisters already told me she'd like to come with me so we can do some shopping in Amsterdam after the medical, so that'll be fun :D.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you guys on getting that NOA2 soon now. Do you have any idea what the delay might be with these extra checks?

Tot de volgende keer :star:

Hey Mark!

Een maand zonder internet.....ik zou gillend gek worden :wacko: (hoezo 'verslaafd). Anyways, welcome back!

Em

Hey Em,

Hey you guys!

That's real great news that your case has been touched twice this week  ! Hopefully this means the all important NOA2 is veryyyyyy near now (still keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!).

Wow Mark, 16/17 urige werkdagen? Respect to you for that!

By the way, ik denk dat de meesten hier zonder internet hun partner nooit ontmoet zouden hebben ;) . The only disadvantage of the internet, especially emaisl is that sometimes it's a litlle tricky to get certain emotions across. Well, at least I think so anyway. For example when you're annoyed or feeling really down. yeah you can write it all down, but I don't know, in emails it can come across somewhat weird. Well, like I said, that's how I feel about it anyway.

Well, tot de volgende keer maar weer :star:

Hello :)

Argh, I am a little confussed here. I know I should stop reading info and stuff and sit back and relax till the interview but I was surfing around a little and well, I all of a sudden started to get worried. It's my understanding that the Consulate is taking care of the police certificate, so you don't actually have to get that one yourself. It will already be at the Consulate when you go there for the interview. Well, at least that's what I read anyway. I don't know why all of a sudden I start to get jumpy about things and this subject but it's all starting to freak me out :wacko::blink::wacko:

I'm probably not making a whole lot of sence here, but I didn't have a good day, I had a fight with Ed, I got totally soaking wet this afternoon when it started to rain while on my way back home and for some reason all of a sudden I am totally freaked about the interview.....:huh::blink: . It's really one of those blergh days.....

Hope you guys are doing a whole lot better :)

Hi Em- :)

Firstly I am so sorry you have had such a lousey day.....Hang on in there, ok? We all know the feeling!

As for the Police Certificate and you "reading up on stuff"-all I can say is that follow the instructions the Consulate has sent. If they said it will be there ( at the Consulate)-then it will.

Remember Laurahlover? He has just interviewed in Amsterdam...He is still registered on VJ -why not send him a quick question about that-or give the Consulate a quick call on Monday? Just to put that worry out of your mind.

I am almost sure you just have a couple of those "pre interview nerves" ( that I am sure most people get). It's understandable-it takes so long to get to the point you and Ed are at; it must be nerve wrecking!

Just take a deep breath-try not to worry.

.... I wish I could be more help; but we are weeks and weeks behind you and we will probably be the ones asking LOADS of questions when it's our time!

Little arguements are a normal part of all healthy relationships, even though it sucks. This is a stressful time for all of us; and especially for you and Ed. Just keep in mind that this time NEXT MONTH you will have visa in hand! :D YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEE :D

As for us-touches but no NOA2 yet  The suspense is driving me nuts!

We'll keep you posted!

Stay in touch!

Michele :)

Hiya Michele :star:

I've decided not to read up on any more info because it's only driving me nuts :wacko::blink: I did write an email to laurahlover though, just to be on the safe side ;) I know I read it correctly and did things all ok, but I guess it's just nerves that kick in from time to time.....so much is depending on this in a way so I guess it's just normal to go a bit :wacko: from time to time

Long distance arguments suck, but ah well, they're just a part of the whole thing I guess. But they sure make you :( when they happen especially when you already had a bad day. We've already made up again though, we can never stay mad at each other too long.

I will be calling the vet on Monday so my cat can get all her shots done. The rabbies shot that she needs, needs to be done at least a month before departure so I might as well take care of that now. I'm still looking into which airline I want to take. Normally if I visited Ed I just went for the cheapest option and didn't really care if had to make a 1 stop on the way, but well, flying with a cat I'd prefer a direct flight into Orlando or Miami, but they do come with a cost.....Ah well, I still have some time to get all that stuff sorted. I'm not going to book a flight untill I have the visa in my hand anyway.

My fingers are still crossed for you guys on a speedy NOA2 now. I'm sure it won't be long now :)

Untill next time.....take care.....

Em
