up, up, up with this thread.....

Any news on your case yet? Don't you just wish you could put them under some kind of spell and get that NOA2 to you right away? I always say that after the whole K1 waiting game, I will never complain again if I have to wait in line for what ever for like 5 minutes or so

By the way, I pick a really great time to fly to the States, some time in the middle of huricane season. Hopefully it won't be as bad as they predict this year.

Hi Em!

I keep checking the USCIS status page-because CSC/TSC are actually starting to approve NOA 1's in MARCH now!!!!!!!

:D I have a feeling that approval is coming soon for us! :D

Have you got your interview date yet?

Please let us know when it arrives!

I know when I get the NOA 2-the very next day I am mailing Mark all the papers he needs from me-EXPRESS!

Where in the States are you moving?

I know what you mean about the hurricane season. Not looking forward to that at all!

Keep updating!

:star: Good Luck for the interview! :star:

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Hiya Michele,

Still no news on the interview date I'm afraid. I keep checking my mail box, but sofar nothing :(. It's freaking me out a little since all the other things were sent to me 2-3 days after I sent the stuff to them. If I haven't heard anything from them by the weekend I'll definitly email them.

Wow, that's cool that they start to approve March cases. I'm sure it won't be long for you guys anymore now! Fingers crossed.....

I'll be moving to the space coast in Florida. Hopefully no major hurricanes will pass through there (or anywhere else) this year. Where will you and Mark be living?

By the way, how come Mark is not dropping by anymore in this thread and did he have any luck with finding out the information about the medical stuff? (oh, I am so curious.....lol :P )

HI :D

Mark will be back as soon as his ISP is up and running at his new address...Wish they would hurry up and get it online-phone bills are bigger and bigger now-and NO WEBCAM! :crying:

As far as I know he has all the info he was asking about the vaccinations ( you know...back when Mijndert said his doc was a "quack"*chuckle*), he seems to be fairly well ahead on...However; I bet when he is back online, he will be posting questions! Anyway-I have all my papers ready to send ( apart from the NOA 2 of course  ), and I just wish they would HURRY UP!

I live in Texas ( another area affected by hurricanes), about 2.5 hours East of Dallas. It's only May and it's already HOT here!

You know, I was thinking of posting this in Dutch......but then my Dutch is still not that great. I can translate pretty well, but when i have to speak, I can't seem to find the words

And I have the problem with the rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's ( Mark says most people who speak English as their main language do)-I end up sounding like a cat with a furball!

Oh well, you can be sure as soon as I have the NOA 2 I will be calling Mark and posting on here! :D

Got to go

Doe Voorzichtig :)

Ah, so Mark can't connect to the internet.....yikes, I can imagine your phonebills must be sky high. We always use the webcams and very rarely we use the phone. It saves so much money. Hope things will be back online for you guys soon!

Ed's also having problems with the 'r' when he tries to speak Dutch. Also the 'sch' and 'g' are causing him some problems. But all in all he's not doing too bad on trying to speak Dutch.

Still no letter from the Consulate in the mail today :crying: . It's driving me nutsssss.....:wacko:

Well, gotta go again for now.

Tot de volgende keer :star:

:D That is great news! :D

I am so happy for you both! :D

Not long now for you two!

You must be thrilled!

Please let us know how it all goes!

I think our petition is going to be delayed for a short while because they have recently implemented a new law that requires fiance petitions to clear extra checks....but we have waited this long-and I am sure it won't delay it much longer; we are not that worried. If we get angry and frustrated, it just seems to make the waiting worse....Plus it is not just us-it's everyone, so no point in complaining, really.

Congratulations again!

Michele :)

Well, I am all ready and set for the interview and medical.....lol, bring it on. ;) I paid the visa fee within minutes after reading all the forms (woohoo for internet banking) so that's already taken care off. I also withdrew the money for the medical and xray since it's got to be paid in cash. I'm really excited that it's finally coming to an end now.

I read about the delay for petitions with a NOA1 after march 6(?), 2006. That really sucks :( . I really hope you guys won't have to wait too long (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys).

Oh, I know all about the frustrations that can creep in while waiting. I've been real stressed out at times and even after we got our NOA2 I've been stressing about all the things that have to be taken care off. Ed's been a real support though and so has my family. They even offered to clear out my apartment and stuff for me if I can find a plain ticket on a short term after I get the visa. I've already thrown a lot of my stuff away (mostly junk that needed to go anyway). Apart form clothes, pictures and one of my cats I won't take any of my stuff with me. I'm planning on giving most of my stuff to my family, the salvation army or to second hand stores and I might try to sell some things. It doesn't really bother me, it's just stuff and it's all replaceable (although having to leave one my cats behind is :crying: )

Em

ps: Dank je wel voor de felicitaties :)

Hi OyenJames and Iceyspots :) Dutch is really not that difficult :D .....if you have spoken it all your life  If you have to learn it at a later age it's probably not all that easy, but then again, if I had to learn Chinese or Italian for example I would be like.. err, what's this too ;)

Hi all :D

Dutch is NOT easy to learn  !!!!!!!!

When Mark talks to his family and friends, sometimes whole conversations sound like one loooong huge word....I am sat wondering when he is going to take a breath!

Honestly, though, the more I hear it spoken and see it written, the more familiar it becomes.

 Em-your English is EXCELLENT!

Chinese...erm....no thanks! Isn't there alot of variations to Chinese? Personally I would like to learn Russian one day though......but Dutch has to come first!

Michele-still waiting for NOA2

Hi Em & Ed also Michele...

My grandma who is half dutch always forget that I don't speak dutch and only understand a few words such as "Ja, Nee, Dankjewel, How are you (don't know how to spell it in dutch), Alstublieft, Dag" But she and my father speaks fluent dutch. I would really love to learn more and someday be able to visit my grandma's relatives in Netherlands.

Hi all :)

Well, I just made my appointment for the medical and xray.....June 6, 2006. First I have to get the xray done at 9 am and at 10 am I will have to be at the doctor's office. It's all got be done in Amsterdam and well, that's not exactly around the corner for me since I live way up north.

I have to leave one of my cats behind. She's going to live with my sister though, so she will have a good home, but it still is :crying: . I will take the other one with me. I would have loved to have taken them both with me, but they don't get along anymore (basically they are at war with eachother.....not a nice situation :( ).

Tmma, Ed's kinda like you, the more Dutch he hears or sees written down, the more he seems to recognize certain words. Thanks for the compliment on my English  . Growing up with subtitled programms on tv + having to learn English at school since the age of 11 have certainly paid off :) .

OyenJames, how are you = hoe gaat het met je (friend) / u (more polite way)

Well, time for me to do some work around the house now.....oh joy
