PLZ HELP...I-130 pending status

we applied I-130 last march 2007 but until now we only have a receipt number...we dont have the case number until now..and this month my husband will be interview for his citizenship..and now our problem is how can we upgrade our I-130? our service center is vermont..

we didnt know what to do because in the upgrade letter you have to write the case number but we dont have yet the case number...what we're suppose to do..?????

everytime i check our status it says that the case is receive and pending...is there any number we can call regarding this matter? because we're so confuse about this because we didnt know how to upgrade because we didnt have case number... we only have the NOA1-receipt...tnx hope anyone can help us...god bless

I dont know if this will help but go to USCIS.GOV and there is a phone number there in contact us. If you have skype on skype.com from where I am located it is a free phone call.It is a free phone call if you are from the Usa anyway.They may be able to answer your questions since you have the receipt number.You may already know this,but if not I hope it helps.

I think your petition paper is way beyond the date that Vermont Service Center is processing now. Try to call Vermont because even if your husband becomes a citizen but your papers are still in USCIS stage, I don't think you can upgrade from there. But once you get your approval (NOA2) and VSC send your papers to National Visa Center that's when you call the NVC to let them know that your husband is already a US citizen so you can already have a case number available.

My friend who upgraded their case when she became a USC, called the NVC wherein the operator instructed her what to do and sent a letter with a copy of her naturalization certificate.

My husband filed petition for me Oct. 2005. still our case is pending because as i know that the processing time is in march 2005. long way to go for my case.and i just like you i dont have my case No. so i put down my Receipt No. instead of case no. But as we want to make faster and im getting sick of waiting i ask my husband to file N400 and Thank God because his citizenship is working so fast he is going to take his Oath taking this coming march 19, 2009. and we were planning to upgrade his petition. i got the letter from one of the vj's for upgrading the petition tell me if you want me to copy paste at you. we going to send after he got his certificate

hi there!!!

my husband took his oath last march 19 2009. he sent the copy of his certificate enclosed the letter for upgrading the petition and noa1. then after a week he call 1800 USCIS for the upgrade. after two days they sent letter said that our case has been upgraded. we still waiting for the anothers steps to do. we will keep on calling USCIS and keep sending copy of Cert. until our case will approve....let Our Lord be our guidance in every step we take!!!
