Where case status at USCIS shown

Hello all,

I setup account at USCIS to watch status like others have spoken of but when i login i see nothing like "touched" "noa1 sent" just shows portfolio and no real choices to show step by step status, have I enrolled in wrong area of USCIS website or what?

Anybody know link to where i need to be to do it correctly?

a touch is another word for last update.... when you look at your portfolio you will see a last update date, when that changes, it's called a touch..

when you log in, click on your receipt number (in purple), its a hyperlink to a page that gives u a little more detail, like:

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Case received and pending.

That site wasn't of much use to me. They are haphazard about updating it. I kept a watch on my snail based on the timeline of others. As long as everything was going on schedule, I really wasn't too concerned about knowing to the very minute what USCIS was doing (I guess I just didn't want the extra stress). It is kind of a pain checking USCIS everyday. I guess I would have checked it everyday if I thought our process was running later than normal.
