also there is the last part that asks if you intend to make specific contribuitions o support the beneficiary??

the lawyer already charged me his money when he submitted the petitions ,

you need to read it well , i said he doesnt need money not i didn't pay money ,why is he a lawyer if he is for free?

when you use a lawyer it means you pay him

Your co-sponsor's occupatin is "retired". The example forms here suggest indicating N/A K3 visa for the specific support question. I prefer the spouse or fiance check no and then indicate they will support the beneficiary as their spouse and a co-sponsor indicate no and something to effect of "will provide support as needed".

Somebody actually got a blue slip lately for following the example. The Consular officer used the "no" against the beneficiary and said, "See he doesn't love you." Outrages but clearly possible.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

You think I need to "read it well"????? You write that "the lawyer charged me his money"... I don't think I"m the one with the language problem!

If your lawyer has already filed everything, why are you asking what to file?

Excuse me, but I am a USC, I actually LIVE here, and there are lawyers that do work for free... it's called "pro bono" work and some of them even do immigration work!

And to answer your question, he is a lawyer because he went to law school and passed the BAR exam.... being a lawyer has nothing to do with what a lawyer charges...

You've gotten the Embassy's requirements and people here with experience (even experience in the visa process IN EGYPT). All of this AFTER the lawyer filed the papers?? How strange... or maybe I "just didn't read well"...

You're going to have a hard time getting people's help if you snap at them... and act like others are the one's who don't know English and don't know how lawyers work in our own country...

And by the way, no, the Embassy or USCIS don't care if your wife's family approves of her marriage to you or not in regards to the I-864 or the I134... notarized or not... these forms are about their financial ability to support you when you are in this country...whether they like you or not!

Especially since they would be obligated to provide this support even if you divorced their daughter! Wonder if they know that???

Haz Tayab, you're going to need it... IMHO

Close, but not exactly... The forms do not prove your income, your supporting documents do...(tax forms, Check stubs, etc.) These forms are where the USC shows their various sources of income, or assets and more importantly OBLIGATE themselves to provide support their alien fiance or spouse.

In the I134 I had to promise basically to support him while he was here for 90 days on the Fiance Visa... on the I864 I had to promise to support him for up to 10 years (or when he becomes a citizen) whether he stays married to me or not! Far more serious.

Funny thing I remember getting the I134 notorized, But the I864 doesn't require it... go figure.
