When I found out that it takes at least 6 months to get this visa, I was calm

When I didn't receive (and still haven't) a hard copy of NOA2, I was calm

When they told me I would have to pay 340$ for a new NOA2, I was calm

Now I get this e-mail saying there isn't enough documents to schedule an interview?! ####### Now I don't feel so calm.

I'm with you, brother.

My blood is boiling this morning. I need to tell myself to just calm down, this will all be fine. Hopefully we just need to straighten out their minor confusion, and get things back on track.

We've been in this process now for almost 9 months. They held us back at NVC. They held us back at the Embassy. Now after sitting on our file for 6 weeks at the embassy they finally take a look at it and decide they're "missing" a document that's been IN THE BLIPPIN file all along

Anyway, we just need to go through the process here. We don't control it, they do. And we want a successful outcome. There's just no point to railing against the unfairness of the system. Go along meekly and give them what they want. Advice easier stated than followed.

Good luck afisher, let's keep tabs on our progress.

this appears they are screwing with everyone and their documents. As they did us. Something must have happened a few months ago to make them be so hard core in getting original and more docs. hell, we had to get a name change document for my wifes deceased mother. Now ####### does that have to do with anything? They're making people jump through hoops.

Glad to see you made it meow

I am going throe the same thing but I have a lawyer I emailed the embassy last week and they said there was a lot of stuff missing I forward the email too my lawyer and he said that all the stuff that they said is missing is in the packet and he does not no what they are talking about so I guess I am in limbo but the good news is if you look at the schedule they have posted on April 10 2009 for the embassy you will see the last date on there is may 27 2009 so I think there will be a new one soon and I hope every buddy is on there I check it 3 times a day to see a new one pop up

According to http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/immigrant_vis...nformation.html

they say that emails should be sent to visabkk, not visabkk2.

I suppose it can't hurt to send to both addresses.

Not sure if this is still the case, but before they would never respond to the emails that were sent to address without the '2'.

Excuse me. I'm going to go throw up now...

I'm feeling a little sick myself...

We are still getting the packet 3 together and its depressing to see what lies ahead, but what can you do...

I have a question on packet 3 submission, can you deliver to the embassy in person or will they only accept through mail or DHL?

Thanks!

I didn't have a packet 3, but I think most people use EMS in Thailand to send the packet 3.

I just got off the phone with Nan, she is riding back to BKK on the 11 hour overnight bus from Chaingrai. I have to give her credit, she went there for her proof of non-marriage document and she went left to go up there on the monday overnight bus. She got the document then turned around and came back the same day **WHEW**. I think she deserves some flowers! (F)

She is picking up the police document this week, hopefully. She says that the police document comes in a sealed envelope and she must not open that, just submit to embassy...is that true? Isn't the police document in Thai and therefore needs to be translated to english before submitting to the embassy? What have you all done?

Thanks!

The police document does not need to be translated. The embassy will accept documents in Thai.

I'm surprised about your statements regarding "sealed envelope". We have obtained two original police certificates, neither was in such an envelope. We got two because of Birchbeer's experience where they demanded an "original" even though an "original" was already submitted with Packet 3. We felt better to have two originals.

Thanti just went to pick up the second one yesterday. I know for fact that it's not sealed in an envelope because she held it up to the Skype webcam for me to see.

Good luck!

You have to mail, they will not accept it in person.

The police report is not sealed, the Medical is sealed and cannot be opened.
