I would like to know how far out the packet 3 to packet 4 waiting list is. I think USCANDUAL has been waiting 4+ weeks. These changes sure have thrown my Chada support plan for a loop. (give notice early / I pay 5 weeks of salary so she leaves immediately after interview) That would have saved me 30 days of waiting for her to qive notice after the interview. I have to say I feel pretty lucky. We have been open to her employer about the issues and it seems they have not tried to hard to find a replacement. Maybe Chada's personality is rubbing off on them.

(just a little bit lazy) as she likes to call it....

Wow, great research CHW! Why do # 5 - 21 not have a date recorded? Are they all in the period of April 29-May 12?

Also, do you know if all of those dates are the date the embassy received the Packet 3, like ours (April 8)?

#5-21 They didn't give us the info (same as #1 this also my case )

Mostly they start counting by the date they sent back P3 but I prefer to start by the date that the embassy records as having received our case.

Right depressed worried and blue can't tell how they feel by word.

People in this web are friendly they are giving eachother sympathy and power also good recommendation

Yes, I remember I was so happy to be out of the NVC hell.... Well it seems I have arrived in a new waiting hell..... I really want out. Does anyone have any information on the back log of cases, maybe just the WHY?...

I think it is just this time of year, they get an influx of cases, if you look at the VJ timelines for when embassy interviews, Mar - Jun are the highest months.

The last email my friend got from the embassy they said "the interview appointment will be scheduled after

the IV Unit received the Packet 3 back in 6-8 weeks later."

First 4-6 weeks we thought it's just the standard how they say.

The IV Unit has received the returned Packet 3 documents of Ms. xxxxxx through the mail on May 12, 2009. The returned documents are not sufficient to schedule an interview appointment. The IV Unit will get back to the applicant by mail regarding additional documents she will have to mail to the U.S. Embassy to schedule a visa interview appointment.

Wow that sucks! The embassy got our Packet 3 the same day. I guess Chada needs to be checking hee email everyday from now on.

Like afisher, I also got an email from the Embassy. I just got this from them (Yes, me - USC) ....

I'm furious. They're asking for my name change certificate. My parents changed my middle name when I was 7 years old. I included photocopies of this in the original I-129F petition last September. USCIS and NVC never raised any issues. Thanti of course has the original documentation to bring to her interview. But they are saying here that they won't schedule an interview till we mail a photocopy to them now. THEY HAVE A PHOTOCOPY! What is the matter with these people??

I'm going to reply to their email right now. And ask Thanti to mail another copy of it to them. She can get it there faster than I can from the states.

When I found out that it takes at least 6 months to get this visa, I was calm

When I didn't receive (and still haven't) a hard copy of NOA2, I was calm

When they told me I would have to pay 340$ for a new NOA2, I was calm

Now I get this e-mail saying there isn't enough documents to schedule an interview?! ####### Now I don't feel so calm.
