Thanks for the quick answer and no one telling me to use the search button. :)

Not sure if anyone else is like this but after my last trip to see my girl and having packet 3 completed we’ve both been sitting calmly waiting for the NOA2. Then today when I saw some activity with our case it kind of snapped me out of a "numb mode" and reminded me just how bought into the process I am. Man this is one h** of a roller coaster ride and we are not even around the first bend yet

Yeah, just wait until your waiting on an interview date. My case was completed at NVC on the 6th and from what it looks like i missed the cutoff for interviews in May. so now i think we will not get an interview until June, unless something magical happens.

Anyone ever notice that date from approval date on the NOA2 to actually receiving an email notification? Is the email notification useless as well? Did you find out via email or US mail?

From what I've seen, it looks like CRIS works for CSC, but not VSC. I found out via the US mail. I never got an email.

My fiancée received the police certificate in the mail today, but because of the protests and Songkran, she is unable to mail back Packet 3 until next Thursday.

Will92104, there is still hope for May interview dates at this time, but if you don't have all Packet 3 materials together right now, be sure you do so ASAP, including that darned police certificate. Took 2 weeks to issue and they sat on it another week although she had gone to the station with pre-paid envelope to have them mail it to her.

As they say, ####### (This is Thailand): Also ไม่เป็นไร mai pen rai (no problem).

Edit: I got a touch on Feb. 27th and less than two hours later an update saying we were approved, followed shortly later by an email. Filed at VSC.

CRIS is the USCIS. If the case number starts with WAC, it's CSC, with MSC, it's Missouri, and with EAC, it's VSC. I've gone through all three so far! CSC for K-1, MSC for AOS, which was transferred to CSC, and EAC for I-751, which also has been transferred to CSC.

It seems they are still pretty good about sending e-mails for K-1s, and updating your case online, but as for my case with all the recent transfers from VSC to CSC for Removal of Conditions, people are getting their approvals in the US Mail, with no updates to their online case.

Having your case "touched" is indeed a good sign, especially this late. If they were going to send an RFE, they should have done it already.

Then maybe in the interest of saving time, and using people more effectively, or less people, they no longer have time to send out e-mails.

However; if they updated his case online, then its a good sign, because like daboyz said, with recent approvals of I-751s, they haven't even changed the online status, let alone send out e-mails.

Who knows... USCIS is whak!

Guys thanks for all the info and support. I added the domain name in your post to our spam software so it will not get caught there.

About 4 months ago I was doing stats on IGORS and picked our place in line when we would be approved as 77. I know IGORS mean very little but I need data to crunch on to make me happy. Anyway we are at IGORS #75 today. Also Chada and I were talking and I told her we would be approved Friday (as in today). Man oh man I hope this happens.

How many times can I hit refresh button before my finger falls off?

We get ours when we were ~55 on Igor.

And we did get a CRIS email. That was in January, so as recently as then emails were/are still being sent. We were at CSC however.

Did anyone submit (or plan on submitting) snail mail letters between you and your SO for the interview? I just realized that me and my fiancee don't have any of those since it takes weeks to send snail mail letters between here and Thailand, and there are many, many cheaper and more timely forms of communication. Hopefully the consulate doesn't require these.

It's kinda sad. Thailand has pretty much lost all respect in the international community. A country I loved for 3 years is no more. China, Japan, and South Korea bailed out. The rest will follow soon. These red shirt people have no idea they are taking food out of their own mouths.

I find it shocking that a convicted criminal, who is hiding in exile, can destroy a countries reputation. I hope the King intervenes in this.

I did a date calculation from NOA1 to the "touch" yesterday. It was 109 days or 3 months and 19 days. It seems so odd that many, many other timelines I have seen have been almost the EXACT same processing time (within a day or so). It makes me wonder if they process the K-1's by due date as primary and FIFO as secondary. The reason I say this is 2 fold. Large companies are VERY dependent on stats / metrics to track operational activities. Secondly I remember reading the articles on VJ about the former USCIS employee. He indicated the top priority was meeting whatever performance metrix they had established. If you think about it the 110 days would give just enough time to process apps within any 4 month window which is what the metrix currently is.

I know not everyone gets it within that time-frame but if they just shoot for xx% that might explain the coincidence.
