Yes, there IS a Soi 6!! Teaw has a good friend that lives in a condo back on Soi 6. It's nothing all the way back from Sukhumvit until you get to the curve and then you have a few big bldgs. of condos and as you walk up the backside toward Soi 3 there are some bars and stuff.

I figured Sae Daeng was doomed after being shot in the head like that. I figured he was already brain dead after he was shot.

just popping by to say for those of you in thailand be safe and for those of you waiting to be reunited with your loved ones i hope that they remain safe and the violence halts soon.

*going to bkk on 9 June for a trip with a friend, a bit nervous but still planning to go. my husband is really worried since he's not going. and insisting that if i go i have to be glued at the hip with my in-laws. now he wants me to go stay with them in ratchaburi.*

I hope when you said 'they' you meant the red shirts leaders - I doubt it's the govt order. He was dead becasue the conflic of interest within. Just like everything else when it comes to greed and power.

We had planned to go downstairs for sushi, they do a pretty good job there, as well.

What's closer to soi 6? The Marriott is on soi 2 across from Ploenchit center (overlooks Nana Hotel and plaza from the back side).

Any chance you can fit an extra laptop and cellphone in your carry-on? I'd be happy to pay you $100 (or THB equivalent) at BKK. Still trying to find a way to get it shipped, but its been a nightmare.

They can be however you want them. I would have my secretary at the university send them directly to you.

Hard to say. These terrorists have spread out all over Bangkok like fire ants. The area near thee Embassy is probably one of the safer areas now due to the military presence.
