(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

This is quite encouraging! With the shift toward receiving most of the paperwork with Packet 3 submission, I wonder if they're doing most of the work up front now, so that the interview is just a formal step that is relatively stress-free: Present evidence, answer a few questions and get rubber stamped.

Congratulations.

These interviews sound like they are going as smooth as the ones in the philippines. i wonder if they transfered someone from there to thailand. i used to think the philippinos were trying to take over the world by immigrating everywhere, now i think it's the thai's turn to do a little repopulating.

My wife just picked up her visa today. she was telling me that the people that do not get approved is because they do not show enough evidence or are missing paperwork. she said there were about 30 people there to pick up various kinds of visas.

That should not be a problem for VJ couples... :)

Great news all... love to see these reports of successful approvals, and visas being picked up.

We're on a roll .... what a refreshing change from the past couple of months.

For those still waiting and getting nowhere (wasabi :( ) ..... keep your chin up. We were all in that same black pit just a week or two ago, your turn is coming right up, I'm sure of it.

That's a fact! :thumbs::D

I am so happy to see things changing both at BNK and here on VJ! Goes to show... you never know what's going to happen in this process. I feel bad for all the people who had to get stressed out and jump through extra hoops in the recent past, but I'm happy for all the recent approvals and what appears to be a return to "normalcy", that we've had at BNK for several years.

Congratulations to all the recent approvals, and I look forward to seeing many more this month! :thumbs:

For folks like Wasabi, I hope you get some good news soon. :yes:

Thanks for the good wishes. It really means a lot when you feel like you are in this nameless bottomless pit just waiting for a sign that things are still on track. I emailed them yesterday to the visas2 address but still no response? For the life of me I can't figure out why they can't give me a simple response. Aside from the surreal feeling that I no longer exist I'm hoping to see my Fiance's case number whenever they get around to updating the upcoming appointments list.

Yah, that really sucks. The new instruction form says that they will stop responding to email inquiries, but that they will be updating the web based schedule every Monday. Meanwhile, it seems like they're not responding to emails, but the online schedule is still dated May 20, now 2 weeks old.

Just think however- you may get lucky and share Danny's experience in which you'll suddenly get a call out of the blue and be invited to an interview within 48 hours! Then you're not likely to care much about their emails or website updates :lol:
