Looks Like KH1982 is the next K1 as he posted they will be going through this evening or tomorrow morning. He's new and his post is on page 104. If he does a review we should start to be able to see a good pattern hopefully.

Now you get to teach her to drive.

Chok Dee

hehehe

Since Nok has been here longer and has a longer track record of putting up with you she needs to do the driving buddy ;) Also make sure Nok remembers her job (Getting Chada over here in 2 weeks). Oh and before you ask a 10th time, she lives in Bangkok...

You feel like your getting spanked with this post??? I am quite the "Over Poster" today...

hello all.

just thought i'd introduce myself into this forum. Need to do the same in the April filer's forum if i can find it. My official NOA1 date is April 22.

I'm Alan from Oregon, and the lovely lady is Onkamon from Hua Hin.

Alan, welcome to the form.... This is a good place to find all kinds of support and information about the K1 process. But I found the support to be the best, this hasn't been easy but being able to vent and chat with others in the same hell as you will be comforting....

Well actually I did sleep good. Must have had something to do with Vodka, soda and then beer... I'm not sure when my last post was but I um "went to sleep" then woke up at 3:54 pretty groggy. I picked up the phone to see if I got anything yet. Nothing... Then 2 seconds later ring, ring and its Chada calling. Being "a little bit sleepy" I just about dropped the phone. To make a long story even longer it seems we have have to come back to the embassy again. It was a little difficult to understand Chada on the cell phone but after about 2 minutes she explained to me everything that happened.

She went to the embassy about 2 hours early (11:00am) and they would not let her in. She called me, went to lunch and came back at 12:45 and was essentially in the back of the line. Then as they went through security screening the medal detector kept going off so after they found it was her USB drive she was the last one in. I don't know what happened after that or how long she waited but she said there was allot of girls there for the interviews and that she thought only 1 actually got a visa.

About the interview.

She was interviewed by a woman who she said was very nice and could speak English and Thai. They chose to do the interview in English. The woman asked her 6 questions.

When did you meet?

How did you meet?

What does he do?

When did he ask you to marry?

When will you marry?

Is he a good guy?

Chada said she believed that the woman knew the outcome of the interview (if they were going to give her the visa or not) before they ever called her to the window. The next part was a little difficult to understand but she said they looked at all the evidence but she thought out of everything it was the photos that stood out and one in particular. When I proposed to Chada it was actually a setup. I put the camera on the beach and had it taking pictures then dropped to one knee and "popped the question" (all while the camera was taking shots). When they asked "When did he ask to marry you?" they all laughed and said yes they saw the picture of the proposal on the beach at Koh Samet. So all in all that was really about it.

If others want to compare their relationship (length of time, how they met and the proof or relationship) to ours this is how everything played out

Met online July 8th.

Started daily conversations since then

1st trip in October (3 weeks)

Filed I-129 December VSC

2nd trip and proposal in Feb

Completed 80% packet 4 during second trip (didn't do police report or proof of relationship)

Sent in Packet 3 last month

Surprise phone call to interview Monday

Mad dash to assemble packet 4 info during last 3 days

Proof of relationship was a highly customized chat log (14,000 entries), 200 emails, 140 photo's and bastardized phone records (linking cell phone to my and Chada's Thai calling cards)

I wrote a cover letter stating the nuances of the chat log and phone records and she attached that letter to the top of the proof of relationship information

HOLY SMACK DANNY!!! :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I hadn't had time to check VJ in a week or so...and the last time I did you were feeling QUITE upset about the entire process (and for good reasons)...and now...WHAM>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>HERE COMES CHADA!!!

I'm amazed and so thrilled for the both of you. Man! Now THAT, your story, is the type of legend! That is something you'll never be able to comprehend or forget! PERFECT!

You're right...Chada must really really rock to be able to pull all that together and then SLAM DUNK the interview, all in such a short time!

I imagine that AAm and I can meet you guys (and Daboyz) later this summer when we come down to Dallas to see my parents. It'll be FANTASTIC that all our ThaiWives will be with us...!!!

Peace to you and Chada, and God's Blessing upon you both!

Now if someone could just convince her to quit her job of before the end of June. I even tried bribing her with a 20,000b shopping spree in Dallas. She said "I donot know how to tell boss" I told her we can buy him a nice gift. ;) she said "cannot"..

If I had 20bht for everytime I heard that!!!

Get used to it! ;):P

Everytime I think that I've come up with what I THINK is a great idea, I hear the "cannot", and I can't help but stand there with a blank stare on my face!

And of course we've ALL heard the "up to you" phrase!!!

Roi_Aggie...ain't that the truth...I also cannot count the number of times that AAm has said 'Cannot' to me about 'anything'. In fact, this past Saturday I needed her to sign some papers for an offer on a house...but she told me 'Cannot'. I gave her that familiar 'blank stare' that you've mentioned above. Then she told me, 'I can't sign it today, but I will sign it tomorrow. Today is not a lucky day for making contracts'. <HAHAHA>

Back in Thailand, AAm had a bumper sticker that said, 'Up to You!' <

My wife is great ;-)

Peace,

MarkNAam

Oh and in a follow-up conversation she said there was no Fat Man. Just a small girl and small guy at the embassy and they were all nice. Maybe someone was "reassigned". Siberia would be a good place I think.

Just caught this now. I'll be very interested to see if future interviewees also report the absence of the bald guy. I suspect he was the sole source of most of the hell that went down during the interviews since January.

My fear is that they have fatso doing morning shift, and nice-lady doing afternoon shifts. So far the two reports we've had about nice-lady came from afternoon appointments. Since we have a morning appointment, I am anxiously waiting to learn what's going on with those.

I would be happy to see him gone because there is no reason for someones first contact with the USA to be some rude A$$ who thinks they are God... I really see no reason to be mean or cruel to any of these girls no matter what the Govt official may think. All of this can be handled professionally, and guess what you still get the same outcome... Visa yes or Visa No, but people go away from the interview with a lot better feeling about the good ole USA ;)
