I guess this just interests me because I know how boring psych wards are. I really can't imagine writing a book about it, although someone did.

"Good" programs may have 2-4 groups per day, but those groups must be very general and dumbed down. You usually end up watching something like Meth Sucks! or whatever.

Many programs have no groups. Your entire day consists of watching day time television, waiting for meals, and monopolizing the telephone. If you can find that spot between the telephone and the tv, all the better.

Most patients are useless. Floridly psychotic does not equal interesting at all. Most patients are over 40+. Many can't do anything because they've been burnt out by either legal or illegal drugs. My last roommate kept insisting that she wanted to show me her #######. Then she'd take off her clothes. Then, I'd be like "Please put your clothes on, you don't have a #######."

Oh no, I'm not talking about the mentally ill in prisons. BIG PROBLEM. Another issue.
