If I send in my I-130 this week can I send in the I-485 this week too, or do I have to wait on the I-130 approval before I can send it in?

In order for you to save a lot of time, just file both applications at the same time....

Yes, it's better to file the I-130 and I-485 at the same time in the same envelop!

Or did you actually sent out the I-130 already!?!?!?!

Yes, it's better to file the I-130 and I-485 at the same time in the same envelop!

I have not filled everything out yet I am still trying to figure out the process of what I have to do, I have been really confused about it all. Yet, from what I have been reading on the forums if I understand this right I can just fill everything out and mail everything together, I can do that?? Wondering if you can help me with question, my wife came here on a tourist visa and we decided to get married last week and her I-94 expires on May 24th will she have to return back to Russia and then come back her or can she just stay here?

What if you sent the I-130 without the I-485? Can you send the I-485 after even though you haven't gotten your visa number yet from the I-130?

Hey Guys I have a question in the Form I-130

the question 22:

They say :

Your relative is in the United states and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in :Should I put Chicago,IL ,Since I live in Virginia ???[/color]

Than ,they say in the same question :

If your relative is not elegible for adjustment of status ,he or she will apply for a visa abroad at the American consular post in :

Should I put Rio de Janeiro ,Brazil (I come from there ).Its right .or Im doin'g something wrong ???Thanks !!!!

only one question applies because they are either going to adjust here or get a visa abroad...

If adjusting here then your local USCIS office

If getting a visa abroad then the consulate in there home country

Yes, you can concurrently file the I-485 and the I-130 if adjusting from inside the USA
