Please share your experience! wife's place of birth error in G325A

Please help with this situation. I sent my I130 for wife in May 2008. Unfortunatley there is error in my wife's G325A place of birth section which I found out now. I called USCIS and they say that they are checking background but I did not tell them anything about error. I dont know if this is because of that error or its just standard procedure. I want to send I129F(K3) as well but I whcih ofcourse I have to send with correct place of birth but I dont know IF

I should send it yet or wait for their response

or

I call them and let them know about error.

or

Just wait and hope for the best it will not be issue for them

I will appreciate any suggestions or advice. Thank you

Sent I-130 to Vermont SC 05-30-2008

NOA 1 06-03-2008

Case Transferred to California SC 11-14-2008

AOS fee.....................01/15/2009

Case completed..............05/10/2009

Interview Islamabad Embassy........................06/24/2009 AP :(

They told me to wait Min 6 Weeks and no limit for Max

Received call from ISL Embassy 08/25/2009 to submit passport

VISA IN HAND 09/05/2009
